Cayman Suites Hotel, Ocean City

This was the first time we stayed at Cayman Suites. We were not disappointed. The staff was very helpful and the suites were nice to stay in, a bit dated however they were well furnished. The location is wonderful right across the street from the park and pier for crabbing and fishing. Plenty of shops within walking distance. We had a wonderful time and will come again.

Let me start off by saying that my husband tried to cancel our reservations because I had burned my hand a week before we were suppose to go and they wanted to charge us a night for the cancelation. It doesnt tell you that in there sight. So we didnt want to lose out on it, so we just rescheduled it for a week after. The person on the phone was very rude. When we got there it was a good location which is the only thing I can say good about this place. We checked in and went to the room and when we entered the room , the floor looked like it wasnt vacuumed in a week and the tv screen was so dirty you couldnt even see what was on. The bathroom floor was filthy. When you sat on the toilet it moved. You had to hold on to something so you wouldnt fall off. Then when we went to open the bed there were little black hairs on our pillow cases and on the sheets...DISGUSTING!!! When we called down to the office they wanted to know why we wanted clean sheets and gave us an attitude. If you are looking to sleep here, dont think you`ll sleep because the cars and noise are so loud you cant sleep at night. We will never go back again. My faimly and I have been going to Ocean city for many years and have stayed at several hotels and enjoyed them all...EXCEPT THIS ONE!!! Its very filthy!!!! They will not accomadate you in any way. They will argue with you.

This place is OK as far as if you need one night to crash. The expression "you get what you pay for" is exactly how this place is. The pictures are deceiving. The beds are Extremely uncomfortable. We had maid service one day the whole time we were there. There is a "public" bathroom on the 2nd floor, which was dirty. Our King size suite we had reserved had human hair all over the place. It was aweful.We needed to leave early on our stay due to a situation and the management would not accommodate any service back as far as any compensation. It is SO far from anything exciting. Bad experience! We will never stay there ever, and if you are smart you would keep looking as well.

Let me first say that we stayed from Mon-Friday for $540 ....that was well worth what we got.. Much cheaper than other hotels the same distance to the beach......Our suite was clean and well maintained. The bathroom ceiling was in need of a new paint job and the floor needed a good scrubbing but we always were our flip flops in bathrooms at hotels anyway.....The beds were comfy and the location was great. The staff was very friendly and the use of beach chairs, towels and umbrellas a nice extra.....We would go back ......You can't expect luxury for $135 a night..

Its on the highway, noisy and not very clean. The staff didn't seem to care either. I would not go back with so many hotels in ocean city. The Suite isn't anymore than a hotel room with a kitchenette jammed into it. You get the feeling that the sheets and comforter haven't been washed in ages.

The management seems to be making a habit of preying on unsuspecting, holiday anxious vacationers who book online by showing the the 'beautiful' pictures on the website and luring them in with 'balcony suites'. Guest Beware !! Make sure to check and possibly get a room guarantee before you get there. They will screw you over once you see the facility and decide not to stay there. There are a million more / cleaner / better hotels in Ocean City. Have fun !!.

Great place to stay, especially with children. Their kitchen is very helpful. Staff is very friendly. Quiet at night. Close to ocean and other attractions.

Check-in set the stage for a great 3 day visit. Our suite was very comfortable and clean and had everything as advertised. The staff was polite and greeted us every morning. Soon we knew their names and it was just like a family atmosphere. They loaned us 2 beach chairs, an umbrella and two beach towels each day. This saved us $15.00 per day. We were about a five minute walk to the beautiful, clean beach and felt comfortable in letting our boys (8 and 11) walk by themselves as there were no busy streets to cross. Yes, we would stay there again. Oh, and the new owners, as of March of this year, were working each day and were extremely accomodating. Everyone needs to go to Ocean City and stay at the Cayman Suites Hotel. You won't regret it!! We had a ball!

I have been going to Ocean City since I was a baby, but this was my first time staying at Cayman Suites. I have to admit that after I made my reservation I read some pretty crummy reviews of the place and considered canceling it, but I'm glad that I didnt. We stayed in the two-room suite with king size bed because we got a last-minute weekend deal rate, but it would have been perfect for a longer stay with its kitchenette, refrigerator, two TV's, and lots of storage space for clothes. Our room was in great shape, and very clean, as was the bathroom. I read reviews with descriptions of ants, rusty bathtubs, and the like but couldnt find anything of the sort during our stay. The location is great; it's far enough north to be away from the crowded beaches, but still close enough to the attractions. I didn't have much contact with the staff, except for the older gentleman at the front desk (perhaps the owner?) who was very friendly and gave us much better directions back home than mapquest delivered. All in all we had a great weekend.
