Got in this place by mistake,I guess I would've never stayed if I would've read the comments here. However It wasn't bad at all.Quite the opposite.Nice staff and my room was very clean (it seemed like was newly painted and had new carpet).Breakfast was good.Overall a good experience.

run run far away
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/07
This place was awful! The smell alone was enough to run. The cleanliness was absent in all aspects. The staff were rude. The continental breakfast included juice and dognuts. I slept on towels with both doors locked and a chair in front of it. Never scared that bad in my life!

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/04/07
The hotel is very old. The furniture is in terrible shape. The mattress was a $99 special. Our non-smoking room had a door to an adjoing smoking room. The smoke came right through.

Cheap, and it shows
By Maurice, 05/23/07
We paid less for 2 nights at this hotel than we did for one night at a 4 star hotel in central Chicago. First, the neighborhood is terrible and definitely not safe. Second, the rooms need renovating. All of the furnishings were well worn, but still useable. The first room we had didn't even lock! We had to ask the manager to switch us to another room. None of the doors from the outside of the hotel locked, so anyone could go through the side or back without a key. On the positive side, my wife and I wanted a king bed, and we don't smoke. The only rooms with king beds available were smoking. The room smelled as though a ton of air freshener had been sprayed, and so the smoke smell did not bother us. We couldn't take advantage of the free breakfast since it ended at 9:00AM and we were on vacation and wanted to wake up late. I would not stay here again.

This place rocks!!
By Shaleen, 12/13/06
They have karaoke with "The Wolfman" on weekends. This was place was kind of a dump in all honesty but nothing you can't handle if you're not a huge snob. And, the Wolfman makes up for it! Will definitely stay here next time I need to go to O'Hare.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/06
Not fit for human use Carpets are black with dirt. The hotel smells terrible.Would not recommend to anyone. I called Days inn corporate and told them I could not believe they would allow any place such as this to use their name.

I would never stay here again!!!
By Peachez, 06/07/06
This hotel should really shut down. I has so many remodeling issues and they have a lot of remodeling materials lying around which could pose as a safety issue. Second the customer service is horrible, I mean the desk agents were either rude or just not very helpful at all. Third the odor in the lobby was really bad, that needs to be addressed immediately. Fourth was the staff propping the outside doors open all throughout the day, which also posed a huge safety problem. Anyone could have walked in and without the front desk knowing anything. Overall this is not a good place to stay. I just hope they get it together.

Not what I expected out of a major franchise hotel
By Eric "Tank" Maloney, 05/24/06
Guess we caught it in the middle of major remodeling... half of the hallway carpeting/wallpaper was missing/shredded/whatever... Trees were cut to splinters outside our windows. two of our room windows had been replaced by plywood. I fixed the shower head during my first shower as it was spraying onto the ceiling as well as into the tub. The heat adjuster in the shower was cold in 97% of the positions it was in, scorching hot in the other 3%... The tub took about 2 hours to drain after each shower... When I asked if I could switch rooms, I was told there'd be a fee... Just a warning, do NOT go there now...
