Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, Choeng Thale

hope it's good site was very clean and the service was great a bit pricey but worth every cent can't wait to see everything in person

Loved everything about this hotel except the prices of the food. The staff couldn't do enough for us, from giving is a loan of a sim card for my mobile( you need a thai sim card for your phone to work) to booking restaurants up the beach from the hotel. The room was fantastic, with fresh flowers and fruit every day. We have had holidays all over the world but this was definately yhe best. Would recommend booking a boat trip from the guy in the hut at the beach. Webt to all the little islands for the day and was well worth the money. Really hope to go back to same hotel this year.

Thiland as a holiday destanation was extremly expensive. The hotel and all the chain of lugana hotels were over the top with the price of food and drinks. A meal for two at the Dusit cost over £70 for two courses a soft drink a cheap local beer and water. A service charge of 10% was added to everything as was a 7% vat charge a bottle of water cost us £5 and a tin of cola was £2.40. We had a snack at the beach cafe and were charged £20 for 4 prawns each a side salad tin of coke and a cheap local beer. The shopping in Bangkok,Phuket and Phatong was no better everything was well marked up i.e. a cheap baseball cap £14 was the price they were asking for so even folling the code of paying half of that you were paying £7 for something worth £1. We paid dear for the holiday as we were told once there everything was cheap. Taxies we were told would cost £4 were costing £10 each way we had no choise but to pay as we were isolated and the hotel were charging a fourtune. We choose the Dusit partly due to the promise of entertainment that turned out to be a paino player a couple of hours in the bar each eveving. Once bitten twice shy the hole holiday was a bitter dissapointment its a dirty smelly expensive place that we spent a fourtune to visit not to mention the long flight and three different planes.1

We stayed in this hotel after a week in Phuket and a week in Phi Phi Koh. Normally expensive but we stayed for 2 nights in low season and took advantage of discounts. Very nice hotel. The room air conditioning is a bit too cold - like a fridge every time you enter the room after being out all day. The poolside food is expensive but good quality so i would say you pay for what you get, The breakfast was AMAZING! It was the best quality, biggest selection, breakfast i ever had in a hotel. To sum up it's expensive (like all the hotels around the lagoon). If you want to stay away from the noisy main strip of Phuket then the lagoon is a good place. It's an expensive taxi ride to get to the action otherwise.

I had no dislikes. WE had a great time. We tell all our friends about the good time we had and that they should go there for a holiday the very first chance they get. We are planning to go back there as soon as we can arrange the time. Loved it.

We spent 2 days at the Dusit Laguna. I was very impressed with the Room, Serivce and the Location. The staff was very helpful, they made things happen and made us feel like we were the only guest around. Would definitely go there again!

Charming People. Wonderful Rooms. Great Hospitality. Fantastic Resort Amenities. Close to shopping; dining. Wonderful Beach Front. Only complaint; which I found typical of the Asia Hotels (4 total) was that the bed matress was as hard as a rock.

Dusit Laguna is a wonderful place for a family holiday. We took our sons there September 06 after being in Phuket on our own the previous April.The staff are fabulous and could not do enough for us and our boys. It gave us a holiday where we felt safe enough to leave the boys in the resort while we went for lunch or a swim on our own. The quality of the rooms is lovely and very relaxing. The staff are very accomodating and nothing is a bother for them. Exceptional value for money. We just booked our next holiday there and are looking forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Dusit Laguna is wonderful. Located with the other Laguna hotels area, this has to be the best hotel because of location, style and friendliness of the staff. Location is unrivalled as it has BOTH lagoon and seaview, while the others can only claim either or. Lagoon is so tranquil and peaceful with mountains in the distant. Beach is just right outside our balcony. No lies about how close the beach is. Beach chairs are plentiful. And free. We stayed at the Dusit Club Room. Wonderful experience. And the decorations here are so wonderful. Flowers all around, so vibrant and colourful, the hotel is surrounded by gardens, lush and tropical. It is a Thai brand hotel and really, why stay anywhere but a Thai hotel if in Thailand. YOu can get the international brands elsewhere. But to experience Thailand, come to Dusit. The warm hospitality the hotel lives by is so wonderful, I have already made bookings for next year. Oh, and they have free wireless internet in the lobby.

Like:Location,beach frontage,generally good clientele,part of 5 hotel complex with siging privileges in over 25 restaurants, transportation between hotels. Liked less: rooms need updating, but more than adequate. We are regulars in this hotel, love the beach the garden and a sense of space. Several good restaurants (Ruen Thai is great!)Of the 5 hotels in the Laguna complex it has the longest and best sea frontage.Patong and Phuket Town well out of the way, but easily reachable.
