The hotel itself was quite satisfactory. The room was large and pleasantly appointed. The breakfast while not extensive was very high quality and well prepared. What was puzzling was the service at the desk. At least two of the desk clerks seemed to be channeling Basil Fawlty. We were charged for several (local) telephone calls we did not make and when we declined to pay for them, the clerk shrugged and indicated that, well somebody had to and it wasn't very much and what did we want? Him to pay?. As we were checking out, another guest was short a few pesos on phone charges and had no more Argentine money. The clerk first gave him the same not my problem drill. Finally, the desk clerk tried to prevent us from giving them the money, stating, "This is unacceptable." Sheesh!

Convenience, service, cleaniness, fantastic breakfast makes this a very good choice. When I needed a doctor I notified the front desk, and one was in my room in less than 1/2 hour. This could not happen in the US. The cost was absorbed by the hotel. This could never happen with the health care system we have in the US. This is a winner.

Stayed in two rooms with my family. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Full breakfast was great and it was included in the rate. Rooms were always done early. Elevators have key cards for security so noone else can ride except hotel guests. If you face the street it could be a bit noisy in the morning, but still it was worth it. Location was walking distance to everything there is to see in Buenos Aires. Would stay again!!!

We wanted a clean comfortable hotel at a fair price for two days before a cruise. We got that, good breakfasts (included) and a well-managed property. They even had a modest-sized business center on one of the lower levels. The room was spacious and everything worked properly. The personnel were friendly and helpful. We were sure we had made a good choice and several of our fellow shipmates who stayed there were equally pleased. The metalized glass exterior is not in keeping with the era of the neighborhood or the structure, but does no harm except to snobs. Inside it was tastefully up-to-date.
