Never go back

We didn't stay at the Hampton in Hickory, NC because it has become a non-smoking hotel. It's one thing to ban smoking in a restaurant - there are other people present. A motel room is private and smoking harms no one. Obviously Hampton Inn is more concerned with their own botton line (can't spend that money cleaning the room?) than they are with their customers. When the wishes of the few take precedence over the general public it opens the door to facism. You are doing a great disservice to those who are willing to pay quite a bit of money to stay at your hotel. I have always reccomended Hampton to friends and family. No more. I'm sorry that you don't see what you are doing and hope that many smokers stay elsewhere and seriously hurt your business. By the way, what's next? Overweight? Can't stay at a Hampton. Drinker? Can't stay at a Hampton. How sad.
