Ramada Plaza LAX El Segundo, Hawthorne

LIKE Ever part of the Motel,Rooms were CLEAN,Beds were fresh.The Pool was Clean and fresh,I did not see ONE BUG of no kind,The Staff was GREAT,We will stay again, { We were there for Four Nights}

The place itself is a trash.. very filthy. WIFI was not working in the room so I had to go down to the lobby to connect. The worse part is it took 2 hours for the shuttle to pick me up from LAX and the hotel was 10 minutes away! The concierge was very very rude and insisted that the shuttle was on it's way. Will never come back to this hotel. The worse experience ever.

This place looks NOTHING like the pictures. When we pulled up I started to tell the cab take me back to the airport!! We checked in and I looked to the right of me and the elevators were shut off with yellow tape. We then proceeded to the room it had NO refrigerator, a sofa that was torn up and smelled of mildew, there was a SAFE in the room, I have never seen a safe in a hotel room WTH!!! This was supposed to be a very romantic weekend for my significant other and myself we slept on top of our clothes because we were afraid to sleep on the bed. What made is worse was we couldnt find another room available, so we were pretty much stuck with this hotel. I went to look at the pool area and there was no water in the pool, it look like water hadn't been there in ages it was dirty and nasty. When we left the elevator was finally working someone had voided on the elevator and wasted food everywhere and no one bothered to clean it up. This place needs to be shut down immediately it has to be a health hazard. Oh by the way I noticed on the elevator that havent been inspected since 2007, so I will be contacting the state of California about that, it's ridiculous this place is still in business.

When we arrived, only one elevator was working, After we checked in the remaining elevator broke down for 2 days, Got it running for a half a day then it quit again ! Not fun climbing up 7 flights of stairs ! Our 5:30 am departure resulted in hauling all our bags down 7 flights of stairs which included opening all the fire doors also. Toilet plugged upon arrival. Bathroom lights flicker for1 minute until they come on. Electrical receptacle loose in wall, internet very weak,( needed router) ice machines inoperative on most floors. .

We were here for one night, on Saturday, June 12th, 2010. I’ll certainly never stay here again because the information/pictures offered by this hotel online are extremely misleading. The hotel is beyond disrepair and has become rundown. Every ice machine on every floor is broken, according to the information given to us by the person at the front desk. Same with the soda machines. My son had to run down to the lobby to get us ice and soda. According to the staff as we checked in, the restaurant was closed “a few months ago” because they were too slow and there were constant complaints about food quality. Instead, we were offered two take-out menus. There are no plans, apparently, to reopen a restaurant in the building. We were told we could walk to Denney’s (2 blocks away in a rather seedy-seeming area) for food if nothing on the take-out menus looked good, and for breakfast in the morning. We were there on a Saturday night. Beginning at around 6pm or so, increasingly raucous and obviously alcohol-induced parties were going on in a number of rooms and hallways near ours. We called the desk to complain and were told someone would see to it, but nothing happened to diminish the noise. We finally resorted to jamming pillows over our heads to muffle the noise. When I called the hotel to make the reservation I specifically requested a non-smoking room. After check-in, I was given a room that smelled like someone had been smoking in it just hours earlier. The second room smelled like someone had been smoking in there last week. The stink was gross and offensive. I should have been able to spend the night in a non-smoking room, as this hotel advertises is available. Finally, the room itself (both of them actually) was in a shocking state of disrepair. Wallpaper was peeling from wall in a couple places. There were burned places on the carpet, and a variety of miscellaneous stains, too. A hem on one curtain had come unsewn and was dragging down over the air conditioner. The auto-dial buttons on the phone didn’t work properly. The room’s table was unevenly balanced and, so, it teetered. The bed was unreasonably lumpy. Because I feel so strongly negative about my experience at the Ramada Plaza Hotel LAX El Segundo, I am taking time to cross-post this all over the net. Do not stay here. You have been warned.

This hotel is disgusting. There were ants all over the room. The bathroom was broken (we had to use the public bathroom across the courtyard, as there were no other rooms to move to). The amenities are old and not well-kept. The air conditioner didn't work. The pool was dirty, old, and only filled about half way (2ft. deep at most). When I complained about the conditions to both the hotel and the company that I booked the hotel through, the hotel wouldn't refund ANY of my money--most likely because if they refunded money when people complained, they'd be paying people to stay there. This place is disgusting. DO NOT stay there.

This place is just nasty. The rubber industrial material on the elevator floors is totally appropriate as there were multiple liquid spills of unidentified origin in the elevators that I used. I checked in, took a shower, no hand towels, no wash cloths, threadbare bath towels. Read their placard regarding availability of their "luxurious" towels, pillows and linens for purchase and admonition that guests would be charged for any missing items upon their departure, repacked my bags and checked out.
