Super 8 York, York

We arrived at 2 AM and had made a reservation. The only good thing I can say is that the poor elderly man who greeted us had stayed up knowing we were arriving from the Midwest at a very late hour. Should have known when we first walked into the hallway to turn and run. The place is a total shambles. It stinks. Beds felt like two box springs stacked with no mattresses. Dirty, dirty halllways, elevators, rooms. Nothing nice to say. Breakfast wasn't even a positve experience. Never again.

I Asked for non-smoking room - unfortunately all the non-smoking rooms are on the 3rd floor with all the smoking rooms below (Guess What? Smoke Rises!!!) It was disgusting. I had to pack up and leave at 11:00 pm at night to find another place to stay. If you are a non-smoker - beware of this place it reeks spectacularly. If you smoke - then you may consider it a nice noxious smokers' paradise... By the way - ALL THE WALLS are painted a discolored, glossy, lumpy, lemon yellow color. Yes even in the rooms. The carpets are all stained with old gum stuck to them and with duct tape patches here and there for added decor. Enjoy!

Room was ok The hallway was ok but hot. The door that was to be locked at night was broken. Ask the desk clerk for directions to the Baseball Park she had no idea there was one. For the price was good i don't think i would stay here again

The room was nothing like the pictures online. It was smaller and they always shut the AC off so it was very stifling going back to the room. At check out time, there was an added fee for the telephone which we did not use--with cellphones who would use a hotel's? The tables every morning in the lobby were filthy--the men stayed behind the counter and watched as we washed a table every morning. The location was nice but the place could have been a little nicer.

I stay at the Super 8 hotel (40 Arsenal Road, York, PA 17404) when I have business in York, PA. The facilities are nice, the daily rate is right, and you don't have to pay extra for wi fi internet connection like at Motel 6 where there is a $2.99 per day charge (plus tax). The internet connection works well and I can keep in touch with clients on the road. The fruit juice dispenser in the lobby is kept running all the time and not restricted to "bankers hours" breakfast hours found at other hotels. The staff is very friendly and works hard to accommodate travelers who work at night and off-hours. Rooms are clean and staff seems to work hard to insure room amenities are working. I recommend the Super 8 Motel York to business and leisure travelers. You will be satisfied with the facility and the savings.

This is a very clean-and very economically priced motel. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and the entire motel is well kept. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone traveling in the York, PA area!

The place was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Had microwave and refridgerator in the room. Overall great value for the money. I strongly recommend you to stay here if you are in York.

When I calld to make a reservation, the desk clerk told me that he was too busy,"call back later",This should have been a warning sign to begin with,but rooms were scarce and I needed a place so I reserved a room anyway by going online. When we got there, the staff was rude,the whole place smelled like mildew,the windows in the hallway were wide open with no screens(we were on the 3rd floor!) the room was filthy, the carpet was so dirty I was afraid to let my children take off their shoes. The stair wells had old broken air conditioners laying in piles, and our room air conditioner smelled like it was full of mold or must. I would NOT advise anyone to stay here, we really didn't even feel safe. The Super 8 chain should investigate this place, it is an embarrassment to the Super 8 name.
