Not What It Should Be
I have no room to complain. My company placed me here for a week. As a business hotel, this is lacking.
I arrived on Memorial day, from Kansas City, hungry, traveling alone. It was about 5:00. I pulled my car up to the valet, who, promptly took my keys, which I was kind of put off with, cause I am normally the type of person who comes and goes as I please. After I got my luggage out of my car, the valet parked it. I asked the valet if the hotel had a restuarant. He said they do, but laughed about it being closed on Memorial day. When I got my car from the valet, later, the sunroof was open. I had to ask them to close all my windows and lock the car.
He was not helpful where else to go and eat. I went in, and asked the front desk where to eat, and he said the Union Station had lot's of places. I went to my room, the comforters make the beds unassumingly lumpy looking. I arranged my clothing, and called the valet to retrieve my car.It was 5:15. I got to Union Station, pretty much accross the street, and it was nearly closed. Settled for something to eat. Paid my 1.00 to park, and left. I was there less than 20 minutes tops. The Hard Rocks is there, but I'd hate to actually eat there, you'd have to pay a whole lot more to park, so consider the meal price. The Union Station has lot's of shops, typically, was not open on the holiday. The next day, well, the breakfast was plentiful. For dinner, I ordered food from the restuarant (prices about like Applebee's), adding 10% for room service, and 3% for ordering down to the restuarant, and picking it up. During the night, it was a bit noisy.
Personally, after spending 4 nights here, I'd not want to have small children and stay here, the boredom factor is amazing. I'd consider the Hyatt at Union Station before this one.
