What a dump!!

The cupolas were falling down,the fishing lake was so overgrown you could not get to it. The room was tacky and the llamas were so full of burrs that you felt so sorry for them. They talked about a tree house and it was falling down. The hammock was ragged, and the bicycles that they were advertised to have available for you to ride were without tires. Dessert in the evening was another amenity that they promised. It was a frozen Pet Ritz pie that you had to get out of the freezer yourself. No thanks to Glenmar Plantation.

What a place!

There is no place like this anywhere in Kentucky. I first found this place back in the early 90's. My husband and I spent many romantic weekends here. I even took some board members here on a retreat. The spirit of Glenmar sparked wonderful ideas and was very conducive to clearing your head and opening your mind to new ideas. We hadn't been in many years as we started our family and there was no time. Now our children are older and we were going to go back, but then I saw the previous review stating that Glenmar had closed. How sad! I do hope that the new owners open it back up so me and my husband can enjoy the peace and tranquility of Glenmar once again. Glenmar was a perfect example of what a Bed & Breakfast should be. Thanks to Kenny for the memories and Donna for the wonderful meals.
