Quality Inn Miami Airport, Miami

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night before our cruise out of Miami. Nothing fancy but it was clean and close to the port and South beach. Don't order from the 24 hr pizza shop that advertises quick and hot delivery. 1 and 1/2 hours to deliver a pizza and soda.

PROS: Staff was accommodating for request of early check-in of 12pm and giving directions to restaurants and malls. Continental breakfast (I did not have any) appeared to be decent choices. Two free internet computers in lobby. Decent toiletries and amenities in room with fridge and microwave. Plenty of pillows provided. Earplugs were complimentary. Hairdryer provided and full size tub and shower. The water pressure was decent. CONS: TV cable was not working for most stations (vandalism of security box in hotel was to blame). Pool was small and very cold water. No Jacuzzi. The maid walked into room while occupied. Beds are spring mattresses and somewhat worn. Airport and freeway noise. SUGGESTIONS: Use Super Yellow Cab company to schedule pick up ahead of time (do not rely on hotel staff choice), as Super Yellow was very reliable, trustworthy, and dependable. The Cruise Package is only good for transportation TO the port. They will not pick you up FROM the port as I discovered too late. The staff did discount the room, since we spent $20 to get there from the port using a taxicab

The shuttle was very convenient. They picked us up from the airport at no charge. They also took us to the port for only $12. I think they are still remodeling, once they are done it would look better. The breakfast was nice.
