Never again, seriously, never again!

A friend booked this hotel for a girl friends weekend. The elevator smelled of urine, the hallways smelled of mildew and the room smelled of cigarette smoke, vomit and mildew and an attempt to cover it up with A LOT of air freshener. For four women we were given four threadbare, thin towels and told by the desk clerk that four people get four towels. This room had seen better days with chipped paint, a cracked ceiling and a balcony sliding door that locked some of the time. This was supposed to be an ocean view room - it was, if you stood on tiptoes in the very corner of the balcony and strained up to see over the adjacent apartment complex. Parking at night was a nightmare, because all the garage spaces were full. The continental breakfast area was so dirty that we decided to go out for breakfast. There wasn't even any coffee and no one to make any. Most disturbing, however, was that when we returned from breakfast, someone had obviously gone through our luggage. At the time, it appeared that nothing was missing. We brought this to the attention of the manager who called us liars and said she absolutely trusted her housekeeping staff. Later, two of my friends noticed unauthorized charges to their credit cards. This hotel is not close to anything. It's on a busy street with a lot of traffic noise. It is at the top of a steep hill, which made roller blading to the beach too dangerous. I am so sorry that I ever set foot in this Hotel.
