Aqua Soleil Hotel and Mineral Water Spa, Batu Feringgi

Firstly, this review is coming from a kids point of view, so if your thinking of taking your children with you on your holiday, this maybe of some help. I would definately recommend this hotel for families. The location is great. You're right on the beach and also close to restaurants and the night markets. The beach offers some great water sports at a cost(not sure how much) and a place to relax. There's also soo much for kids to do. There is a seperate pool mainly for the kids which includes a waterslide, soccer nets and a volleyball net. There is also the kids club. I didn't personally visit it but I know there was craft activities, computers and other games. And lastly, there's also heaps to do for adults if you want to get away from your kids. There's a spa, a bar area and a gym. So, if you are visiting Penang and taking your kids with you, definately consider the Parkroyal Penang.

Parkroyal is the greatest hotel! The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are always lean. We had a grand deluxe room and it was wonderful! The service was wonderful and so was the food! Breakfast was devine! There was so much variety and it was even better because of the location we got to choose from a variety of fantastic resturaunts! I will always remember Penang and would love to go back one day!

The grand deluxe seaview room was excellent and to expectation. The pool was lacking in ambience (waiters rolling carts by the pool with either rubbish or Misc items). The sunbeds were 2*, drinks pool side were over priced a small Pepsi Light was $10AUD and a beer $20 AUD. The staff were friendly, breakfast was interesting. A very popular Hotel with guests from Bahrain. The night markets were on the door step but they are on the door step of pretty much all the chain Hotels. Overall OK but if you are wanting to Laze around the pool choose another hotel.

When you step into this resort hotel..you'll feel very comfortable with the grand concourse and lobby,with beautiful live performance and rendition by filipino singers,with one of the well-maintained poolside and beachfront..you'll feel you're really in holiday mood!The room is ok.Overall..it is a bit expensive.A deluxe room will cost you about RM350.You get certainly get better rate in other equally good hotel in Penang.

Stayed over Christmas 2006. The hotel was extremely busy at that time, which is probably why our experience wasn't so nice. First time stayed there - it's not 5 star, more like 4. The rooms were good. However, outside was not that nice. The food such as sandwiches and hamburgers was poor quality. The sun loungers were not nice (metal/plastic). Some trash bins were overflowing! My advice is for them to improve the standard food and replace the loungers with wooden ones. We had dinner a couple of times in their Tiffin restaurant and that was really good. In summary, Parkroyal Penang has a few things to improve and then it will become a great hotel. Maybe avoid it at Christmas...

I just love it.The first time with a friend in park Royal was great.I fell in love too.I mean fell in love with a man in park royal.If i get married to him,i will return to spend my honeymoon here.The staff are superb.They made us feel so welcomed.I love the Tamarind Brasserie.I ate there 3 times a day during my 3 days 2 nights stay in september 2007.But next time i return,i will stay in the seaview room.It is so romantic.My holiday in September 2007 was a dream come true.

Everything about this hotel is top notch, the Pool is amazing the food is excellent the service is without doubt the best ive ever encounted.So if your thinking about going to Penang and want a 5 star hotel but don't want to pay as much as the Shangri-la Rasa Sayang, Just Book It!

LOVED THE LOCATION, EXCELENT BREAKFAST, VERY POLITE STAFF, FAMILY ORIENTED. WOULD LOVE TO VISIT THIS HOTEL AGAIN IN THE NEAR FUTURE. WILL TELL ALL MY FRIENDS ABOUT THIS PIECE OF HEAVEN.

We stayed in a sea facing de luxe room with a balcony from Oct 7th to 14th 2007. As it was the last week of Ramadan the hotel was very quiet until the 13th when everyone in Penang seemed to come to celebrate Ramadan's end. We enjoyed our stay immensely..our room was first class...all we could see from our door was the sky and sea!... and the buffet breakfasts were beautiful. The pastry cooks are to be commended for their dedication to their task! 'Cool Bananas' casual restaurant provides great meals at a very reasonable cost for lunch.....their fish and chips are delicious...one serve does two for lunch! The hotel seafood evening buffet was also good with exceptional desserts. Our fruit platter was replenished every day which was much appreciated and a packest of cookies was also left each afternoon. The hotel has a tour desk and a shuttle bus to major shopping malls and Georgetown. The grounds and beach in front of the hotel are very tidy and well kept. The gardens are lovely and add to the whole experience. With the current exchange rate we found the Penang Park Royal to be excellent value and we hope to return for another relaxing holiday.
