HOTEL BU HAO - THE WORST
By ,
Where do I begin? They didn't return my $1400USD deposit (I stayed in the apartment section). I am still trying to collect. A/C turned every night (see other reviews) Little known fact about some Chinese hotels - they kitchens use coal and it vents into the A/C - some days, the air was cleaner outside than in the hotel. The food was terrible and relatively expensive (125 RMB for breakfast). Dirty gym area. Totally unresponsive - when I told them about the A/C, they just shrugged. I think this is a state-owned / run hotel - otherwise, I don't see how they can stay in business. If you want to stay in CBD, pay the price and stay at Kerry Centre or China World.

5 star bullshit
By ,
Rooms to small, carpets stained, No internet Aircon turned off at about 2am. Will not be staying there when I go back to Beijing next year. Front desk staff were verry limited in English. Bar fridge well stocked but way to expencive (25rmb for small bottle of water)

Good but . . .
By ,
I stayed on the executive floor -private check-in & check-out, breakfast included. I appreciated the privacy of the executive floor as I am a woman & was travelling alone and only executive floor residents could access the floor via the elevators. It was farther from the Forbidden City than I expected: too far to walk. For the reason I just mentioned, there seemed to be mostly diplomats and business people staying at the hotel, although there were some tourists. All in all it was a nice, quiet hotel. Good for a hotel in China. Stained carpets were the only problem I encountered.
