First and Definitely LAST Stop at a Motel 6 !!
By Deb, 3/7/11
This motel was just plain nasty...from the entrance of the lobby to the elevator...the smells were horrible...the carpets were dirty...the bedding had cigarette burns {in a non-smoking room}...the price for the room was only $50 {and now I know why...} after seeing the motel and the room...$50 was TOO much !! The paint was flaking and peeling there were pieces broken away from the ceiling...a group of people loitering around the entrance made you feel uncomfortable entering or exiting the building...it was just NOT the kind of motel I'm used to staying in. This was our first and definitely our LAST stop at a Motel 6 !!

Very nice comfortable stay
By First, 8/31/09
My wife and I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at this Motel 6 for three nights this weekend. First, let's make one thing clear. If you are looking for a SUPER LUXURY hotel, this is not for you. You will not get such a hotel at $59.00 to $79.00 a night. You will need to spend at least $129.00 to $149.00 for such a hotel. But, if you are looking for a nice, clean place to stay where you feel comfortable and have all the necessities required, this is a find place to stay. We opened the door to our room and found the room to be nice and bright. It was very, very clean with comfortable beds and clean sheets. The bathroom was very clean and provided great hot showers. The hotel is clean and well air-conditioned for the summer months. The personnel were excellent. Very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much and we will certainly stay here again when we visit beautiful Portland, Maine. It helped make our trip extremely memorable. I like to judge a hotel by how I feel about returning to it after a day out sightseeing. Do I feel like returning or do I dread returning? I certainly did not dread this Motel 6. I Looked very much forward to returning for a good nights. For these reasons, I give this hotel 5 stars.

Horrible!
By Rachel, 8/17/08
I called to confirm my reservation 3 times. The third time I called to let them know the time we were arriving and when we got there the room was "dirty" which I will take to mean they gave it away. I was traveling with a 2 year old and was highly inconvenienced. We had to go to another motel Inn at Portsmouth which was disgusting.

Hideous odor
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/20/08
I was supposedly put in a non-smoking room. Ha. They must have converted it from a smoking parlor the day before. The smell was so bad that ALL of the clothes I left packed in the bottom of my suitcase stank when I got home. My door also needed a linebacker to get it open, and they charged me more than the rate that was advertised on-line and that was confirmed at the front desk when I checked in. I am DONE with Motel 6.

good value and clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/12/07
I read reviews about some non-smoking rooms smelling like smoke. The manager allowed me to check out 4 rooms to make sure that it was suitable. He was extremely nice and tried to help. The room was clean without any frills. Bring an alarm clock and shampoo if you want it. Bottom line: good value for a place to sleep without any amenities.

Smelly Indeed
By Helen, 6/1/05
This place was rather smelly! My husband and I noticed the odd smell of the elevator and were slightly nervous to even get on the dinosaur! After sleeping the bed (which appeared clean at least) my clothes smelled like cigarets (and it was supposed to be non-smoking!) for the rest of our weekend. PEW!
