America's Best Value Inn, Belvidere

My stay at Cambridge Inn was not a pleasant experience. I arrived February 22nd after 3PM to a very cold room with insufficient heat. Hardly any. Considering notice in advance of my arrival you'd think house-keeping (staff) would make sure guests would be comfortable. Also, I was assured that this was a handicap room. Alot to be desired - not to mention the entrance to get up the sidewalk was blocked with snow! Not a good idea for someone who's handicap with a scooter, needing the ramp. I'm disputing charges for at least my first days stay considering the room didn't get semi-warm until midnight. We sat with coats on for many, many, hours and were told that maintence...would be looking into this since this was not the first time. Very disappointed. I should have reconsidered and looked elsewhere to stay! What's interesting is that "the manager" is never available???
