Hope to be back there soon!

I was on a Educational Study trip with Specialist Schools & Academies Trust. I've already heard from a colleague who was there in March 2007 what a wonderful place it was. From the polite doorman, concierge, bellboy, receptionist, duty manager, restaurant manager, restaurant staff - chefs & waitresses, chambermaid, housekeeper, travel agent, I can't fault the service offered. The hotel is located in the business district not far from the embassies. There are a group of soldiers marching up and down daily along the pavement. I was on the 12th floor and had a most incredible view of the city which had a lot more greenery that I had imagined.
Breakfast at the Evergreen Cafe with its international theme - Chinese, Japanese, Continental, British, American (spotted some muffins) with plenty of fresh fruit daily!
There is a Chinese restaurant near the hotel which serves very delicious food for around 35 yuan (Sterling £2.30). The Hardrock Cafe is in the very expensive price bracket for the locals and full of westerners. I compared it with London pricing. At the Luthansa Shopping Centre nearby, there is an Italian restaurant which serves Pizza, pasta, etc. Again not local prices.
We ate at the Evergreen Cafe 2 evenings and wss astounded by the range of foods found in the buffet. There were fresh oysters, scallops, prawns, traditioal Chinese food, roast/BBQ meats, Laksa (spicy and very hot - apparently chef got recipe from a Singapore chef), sushi, chocolate fountain, lots of gateaus, cheesecakes, bread & butter pudding, etc etc etc. The dishes vary both evenings. The noodle bar will cook any style you wish.
I will definitely return to Landmark Hotel bringing my husband.
