Loved The Eaton!

I originally chose to stay at the Eaton because they have an outdoor swimming pool – that was my only criteria really. So I was very surprised to see such an impressive establishment considering the price I paid (I booked via expedia.com and got the room for $80/night)
Getting there from the airport was a breeze; I bought an airport express ticket to Kowloon Station for HKD $90 (approx AUD $15) and then caught a cab from there to the hotel. The whole trip cost about AUD $20.
Rooms are lovely, however are as small as the reviews say they are. But lets be realistic; this is Hong Kong and they are very short on space! The beds are comfortable, room service is great and the bathrooms are attractive and well appointed. One addition I thought was brilliant was bathroom scales – so I could weigh my suitcases before I left.
It is also worth mentioning, for the smokers, there is an outdoor eating/ drinking/ smoking area which is quite rare in Hong Kong.
Food and drinks at the hotel are very expensive; AUD $7.00 for a coffee and $8.00 for a beer. I would not recommend purchasing any food or drink at the Eaton simply because of the price. If you walk onto Nathan Road and go right, there is a plethora of restaurants to choose from and most serve breakfast and coffee for around AUD $6.00. Also, the area around the Temple St night markets has many choices for lunch and dinner.
Absolutely loved Hong Kong and would definitely stay at The Eaton next year when I go back.
