Poor service, dirty rooms, bad idea.
By ,
The "Sheraton on the Falls" is a much better choice if you are going to stay in Niagara falls. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone and I am a Starwood Platinum member. The "Sheraton on the Falls" has been recently upgraded and the staff there is MUCH better than at the "Fallsview". If you are a Starwood Gold/Platinum member you will get much better service at the "Sheraton on the Falls".

STAY HOME
By ,
What a disappointment!! The hotel pool was a cesspool of germs and the hot tub had a ring mildew. The rooms were not very clean. A previous guest must have spilled something on the night table which had not been cleaned and when I moved the phone to use it I found a ring of sticky goo under the phone and under the lamp. My six year old daughter usually takes baths but learned to adjust to a shower very quickly because I would not let my dog soak in the hotel tub. Parking we were told would be $20.00 for our entire stay of 5 days only to arrive and be told that was a mistake and it was $20.00 per day plus tax. BEWARE OF THE TAXES VERY EXPENSIVE. Everything was very expensive. Friday's Restaurant charged $3.99 for a diet coke and $12.99 for a cup of soup and salad. My advice check out other destinations where you will get more for your money. Not a family friendly destination.

Shop Around

Overall, my summary of our stay would be "over priced , underserviced and unfair". The restuarant menu is way over priced $42.00 for a steak . The quality of food and service was very poor! 2 of 4 elavators worked so we often had to walk the 16 flights of stairs. The to add insult to injury we booked in advance , encouraged friends to join us,. Got identical vacation packages, room etc and we were charged $50.00 more at checkout??? Do your homework and shop around , there are better places to stay!

the room was dirty, and they were anything but helpful. we were given the wrong kind of room, even though we booked months in advance.

Nice but you'll pay....
By ,
Everything was good. Immediate check in even though I was early. Upgraded to the presidential suite for $75. Nice big suite. 2 flatscreens. Kitchen, sitting room , fireplace - really nice. Like they said in previous reviews, A beautiful view. Now the negatives - The couch and chair in the sitting room in front of the big windows were terribly stained. Didn't even want to use them. It didn't seem like a big deal at first, there was a big spider on the outside of the window. No big deal right? But as night came on every window, 8 of them, had spiders climbing on the outside. Gets a little weird trying to look at the falls and seeing spiders. Not sure what can be done about this.. And the price. Its nice but way too expensive. Would I stay again? Hmmm Probably not. At least not at these prices...

Sheraton Fallsview - Outstanding Hotel!
By ,
My husband and I just returned from our third visit to the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel. This hotel is fabulous! Service is very friendly and the rooms are the best we've ever stayed in, spacious and clean, and with the most comfortable beds - we inquired and got information on buying our very own Sweet Sleeper Bed! We especially like the location of this hotel, far enough away from the "tacky-tourisy" part of the city, but still close enought to all that you'd want to see and do - casino, attractions, restuarants. The hotel is currently undergoing a lobby renovation, but most of the work, we understand has been done and they are just fininshing up. Looks very nice, dark wood trim, new tile flooring. We plan to visit again in the early fall and try out their new golf course Thundering Waters. Can't wait!!!

Bring the love of your life there
By ,
I went there September 2004 with my then girl friend. We stayed in the Superior Luxury Room (cost about 360 Canadian after tax). The room was big and clean. The service was good. We ate at restaurants in the vineyards in Niagra-On-the-Lake so no comments can be made about their food. The hotel is not as close to the falls as the other Sheraton (which is right by the falls). However, the distance and height of our room gave us a GREAT view of the falls. Bring the love of your life there. I did. She is now my wife. PS: Please get a falls view room regardless of your choice of hotel. The extra moeny is well worth it.
