Questionable integrity!
By Russ, 3/27/11
My family of four had a pretty good day at Jiminy Peak the weekend of March 12th. The conditions were nice, but being late in the season, the cover was getting thin in places, despite the claim of 30" min. base. At the end of the day, my wife's skiis went missing from the rack outside the lodge. Oddly, they were 10+ year old, shaped Dynastar's, albeit in very good shape, but nothing you'd imagine as a target for theft. Either way, there was an identical pair sitting nearby for the 2 hr's we were looking around, filling out forms at Guest Svc's, talking to security personnel, etc. All assumed there was a mix-up. We were assured we would get a phone call at the end of the evening or next a.m., and two weeks later, they've never called. We did follow-up w/ them, and no one seemed to know who were were. After dropping $400 on lift tickets for two days, who knows how much on food, etc., you'd think we'd at least get a phone call. Instead, I suspect some employee's sister or girlfriend just got a decent pair skis.

Jiminy Peak weekend skiing
By Malene, 12/21/09
Great location, easy ski in and out. Inn is old and noisy, rooms are small for family. Bathroom is small and old. Spa is not that great, Sauna is small, only one jacuzzi inside. Outside pool is closed below 25F.

Don't stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/08
We stayed and the country inn at Jiminy Peak. After checking in we went to dinner at John Harvards, a restuarant/bar, locating in the same building. It has an excellent atmosphere, they make their own beer and the food was excellent. Sadly this was the highlight of the trip. The rooms and hall were dreary. The country inn rooms have a fully stocked kitchen but beware!! The first thing I looked at was the coffee pot, which clearly was not cleaned properly. The room doesn't come with a sponge and dish soap so you had to either put everything in the dishwasher or forget it. It was raining all weekend and there truly on site to do as you would expect from a resort. When it was time to sleep the phone rang about every 15 minutes to signify a phone message that didn't exist. I complained but they couldn't fix it so it was a miserable night's stay. In the morning when we checked out the staff member said she'd ask the manager to take money off our bill but the manager never did nor did she call as was promised. I would never go back here again. I think it is extremely overpriced and they should be ashamed of themselves to charge what they do per night.

Do Not Waste you Money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/22/07
This place is beautiful to look at for its terrain but everything else is way below average. The Inn is dirty and has an odd mold smell, the room was dirty especially the blanket which you could see other peoples hairs on it! And the food is terrible. Don't bother.

October stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/4/07
I thought the Inn was great! I stayed at the Country Inn over Columbus day weekend with my wife to go leaf peeping and our stay was great! The beds we're comfortable and very clean. Free WiFi which was nice. New carpet in the hallways. Only complaint was the high rates over the weekend but it was busy. Ate in the John Harvards grill on Saturday night and had a great chicken pot pie. Service was good considering how busy it was.

Ski Elsewhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/19/07
There is nothing good to say about our weekend at Jiminy Peak. We stayed at the Country Inn. There was no available parking - we had to park at an offsite lot and take a shuttle to the hotel - and no bell-staff. It had snowed 2 days before our arrival, and they still had not cleared sidewalks or roads. The room was dirty, with threadbare indoor-outdoor carpeting that hadn't been vacuumed (let alone washed) in a long time. Housekeeping missed our room completely one day - not that they did a great job when they showed up. The walls and ceiling were paper-thin - and with evening skiing, the din from footsteps in the hall and above our heads went on until 10:30 PM. The ski school was also a big disappointment - not only did they lose our 6 year old's skis, but they also lost him (a kind skiier found him crying on the mountain). We learned of this event from my son - no one from the school had the courtesy to let us know. We have stayed at several ski resorts and have had much better accomodations and services for less money. Take the extra hour and drive to Vermont!

Lodge is getting run down
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/18/06
This year for the first time I have a complaint. Not about the terrain, but about the accommodations. The lodge is getting run down.. Here is a list of our complaints: The front door to the unit did not double lock at night. It appears that the jamb “settled” so that the security locks do not line up with their receptacles on the frame. I pointed this out to a maintenance person but it went unfixed. We did not feel as safe at night as we usually did there. The door knobs to the bathroom are loose and ineffective. They literally hang in the doors and the locking position buttons do not really lock the doors at all. Therefore, privacy is compromised. The baseboard heating unit in the bathroom is broken. The control knob was on the floor and did not even fit back into place. The stove top does not provide proper heat to even boil water in a reasonably amount of time. My wife was very frustrated trying to use it. The coffee maker heating plate is broken. Although it does make coffee, it does not keep the coffee warm at all. The room was filthy. Yes, we did sleep a bit late (9:30 AM) but we did notify housekeeping when we left the room. In all these years (coming there) we never felt that the floors were not vacuumed till this year. We want to return next season. In fact, we even entertained the thought of buying something there since we come every year. But now, we’re not sure. Thank you for your attention. Hopefully, you can tell us that the inside will be kept up as well as the outside. Oh, one more thing: I booked early (your website) and yet was given a room on the “far” side of the lifts. I’ve noticed that even last year it was difficult getting a room nearer the lifts. Sincerly,
