Bug infestation
I enjoyed the nice sized room as it's the best in the area. However, my room was infested with small ticks and some type of blood sucking mites or? The owner did remove the bed and he sprayed the room once. This did not resolve the issue of the bugs. Having in excess of twenty-two bites as well as having to remove numerous ticks from my body, I would not recommend this motel. After several complaints, I was told there was nothing else the owner or manager could do about the bugs. I even offered to pay for the spraying, but to no avail. I had to move out as the manager took no additional action. I was offered another room upstairs, but due to open heart surgery I did not need to be climbing stairs. I'm in the process of filing a report with the local health officials. Before checking out, I told the manager that I really enjoyed the room and its size. I asked him why he would not do the right thing and take care of the bug situation. His response was that he did everything possible. He did not elect to try and rectify or resolve the issue. He just shrugged his shoulders and handed me my receipt. I had to pay for a night that I wasnt even going to be staying. I checked out at 5:05PM on April 19, 2007. My room number was 109. The person I spoke with during this whole episode was Mr. Ketan Desai (Manager). I wish things could have been different. I did my best to have a win, win situation, but I had no cooperation from the manager. My stay was over a week, and was going to stay for several weeks due a my job assignment in the immediate area.
