don't go there if u wanna rest
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/08
I was there with my fiance on a saturday night, hoping we can relax and enjoy a weekend night together away from others, it turned out that they had a whole high school staying at the hotel that weekend, it was 11PM and they were still slaming doors beeing very noisy, after that we decided we can't rest there, we left, cheked out, of course no refunds of something like that. I asked is it always like this from the staff, they said , when they have studets is like that, can't u keep them under control???? Anyway make sure that u get what u pay for, otherwise just pay 10 bucks more and go to a nicer hotelif u wanna get some rest and respect from others. By the way i had to ask wich direction should a head to my room, i got the keys in my hands and that was it.

It was...okay. Fairly clean---we found one bug resembling a bedbug but not sure that's what it was. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was kinda sad---not much selection, and I thought the orange juice terrible, then saw an employee refilling it with a big jug of "Sunny D". Not even real juice. They had a feature I'd never seen before--the iron attached to the ironing board, apparently so it can't be stolen. It also is difficult to impossible to use the way it is set up. I was staying there to be near a certain other place, but other than that, I would never stay there again.

Use a Travel Agent you will still get discounts and they will call hotel directa
By Millie L, 02/28/07
The travel agent (of your choice ) will (if you request) make sure that you get a non-smoking room or they will advise you to use the airport locations (beautiful choices) more money of course and remember America the Beautiful is all about how much you pay ...That location would not be the one to choose, anyway, unless you need old "Aurora" Also "You Get What you Pay For" ....that's why you need a real travel consultant (it is the same price Yes I'm Right ) Do Not use Central BW Reservations (it is the Plilliphines (SP?) out sourcing call hotel direct or request your travel agent to call the hotel direct always.....take this advice from a PHD Travel Consultant CTC Mimi

Good all round
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/06
Exactly the hotel that is the cornerstone of the Best Western ethos - value for money, friendly staff, delightful rooms, conveniently located and continental breakfast. A great place to stay for a first or last night in Colorado given the proximity to Denver airport. We will return. Well done indeed!

we will never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/05
My wife and I checked into the hotel and got the last room available. It turned out to be a smoking room and we were there for less than 30 minutes when my wife started getting headaches. I called the front desk and the clerk said she "understood" and we could check out if we were not satisfied. When I returned the keys to the front desk, I was told there would be no charge and that the credit card transaction had not even been processed. I'm sure you can guess what happened when my American Express bill arrived. Yep, we were charged for the room. When I called the manager, he said that we were charged because we had used the bathroom. Now, I've heard of pay toilets before, but $100... The manager said he would look into my request for a refund and call me back. That was a month ago and still no return call, though I have left him at least two messages. My advise--stay away.

If you are a non-smoker with a respiratory disability, read this....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/05
I had the misfortune of having reservations on 4/29/05 and 4/30/05 for the Gateway Inn/Best Western in Aurora. I booked my trip through a 3rd party for what was supposedly a better rate. I had booked a non smoking rooming being a severe asthmatic. To make a long story short, I arrived at the hotel, checked in and went upstairs. To my disappointment, they stuck me in a smoking room. I called down to the front desk to be told they did not have any non-smoking rooms left and that I could try another smoking room to see if it was any better. Ugh! I give the gentleman at the front desk credit though - he was friendly and did appear to understand my health situation. I immediately started calling around elsewhere looking for another hotel with a non smoking room. I checked out as I did not feel like having a full blown asthma attack. To add insult to injury, the manager was not readily available when I was briefly at the hotel. Today I found out today were not willing to refund any of the money to the third party that I made the reservations through. Their attitude was 'oh well'. I guess I can consider it a lesson learned. My advice to non smokers looking at staying at the Gateway Inn is to keep on driving. Aurora has lots of other nice hotels.
