Don't even think of going there

The most important word for an inn is “hospitality”. This place had none. Before we even arrived we were turned off by having to sign a contract for a two night stay; one that protected the owners, not the guest. That should have been the red flag. When we arrived, there were no amenities like afternoon tea. In our room, there was a binder with things to do in Cape May. One page in the binder inserted by the management said that there will be a $75 fee if this binder is taken from the room; a real nice welcome. Near the air conditioner thermostat was a notice that read do not lower the temperature of the air conditioner or it will be “shocked” (their word, not mine). When it came time to go to the beach we had to sign for the chairs and the towels; not very trusting. Also, we were told they had no umbrellas. The next day, the central air condition system got “shocked” (broke). While we were in the room, they installed a temporary window air conditioner that was not effective for the size of the room. Basically, we never felt like guests at this establishment. The environment was almost hostile towards guests. We did leave with a gift. LICE!
