Hidden Charge
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/20/09
The young lady who checked us in on our visit was very pleasant and helpful. She also switched our room when it was discovered that the stopper didn't work in the jacuzzi bath. Again she was very pleasant. The one thing I discovered after leaving that I do not agree with is this hotel will double charge you....per hotel employee....on your credit card, to make sure the money is in there. Now does that make any sense! I should have been told this at check in however what I was told was there would only be a charge for the room + tax. This is understandable. Double dipping however is not. Example: what if a family were traveling and had a certain amount of money for the traveling...as many Americans do.....and everywhere they stopped they were double charged for their room! This practice of doing this could possibly put someone in a very precarious position and I believe it should be stopped. Whether you double charge or not the money will be there and you will be paid. Instead you tie up money that is not yours and can't be used by the person it does belong to. Sometimes this takes up to a week to be released and sometimes you end up having to call all over the place just to get your money back. Don't you think the American people need better than this in the times we live in? I was also told by the employee that all hotels do the double charge thing to make sure the money is in your account. Well I am here to tell you that not all hotels do this and I for one will not stay at another hotel that does. People beware of this practice and know that it is being done to you.

Telecom Business
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/07
It was easy to find! Easy to find is always a plus for a business traveler or any out of town guest. Take Exit 7 off I-12. I was there on business travel for 4 nights. The major upside to this hotel was the free full breakfast and the comfortable beds. What I didn't like was a storage facility located what looks like in the same lot of the hotel. There was an insect that I had to hope would die in the room and it did. Overall, I ate a good breakfast and rested well while on business there. If sent back to Baton Rouge again, I might try my luck at another property.

suite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/9/07
SUITE #1 it wasn't a suite like we were told when we booked the room. #2 the carpet was filthy. #3 the room was smelly, like it was wet and mildewed. #4 it was too small.

Good Choice in BR
By JohnS, 3/1/07
I have occasion ot stay in BR on business frequently. This week was my first stay at Comfort Suites - it will not be my last. I found the hotel to be entirely satisfactory for the business traveller. The staff were polite and efficient, the room was clean and spacious, and the hotel was quiet. I had no problems with infrastructure (internet, tv, room setup, etc.). I was able to get my work done, get a good night's sleep, and get out quickly in the morning (the all important 3g's of business travel). I did not have occasion to use the fitness facility or the pool (I think the pool was closed for winter) so I can't comment on them. If you are looking for a good overnight stop while travelling or if you need a few days on business in BR, I think you can't go wrong with Comfort Suites on O'Neal Ln...

A great hotel.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/3/05
We enjoyed our ten days stay at Comfort Suites. The breakfast bar could have used some protein....everything is carbohydrates...no fruit, or hard boiled eges. It is a new location and there are no sidewalks to use on the short distance to the mall.
