Liked the locations, but man it sure is windy. Luckily the place is big enough to find your own little space. Pool was absolutely freezing cold, but felt nice in the warm weather. Room was spacious, clean. Service in the beginning and end was a bit poor, arrived early after 32 hours of travel from the US and could not check in early, which is understandable, but did not offer to store luggage, wouldn't let us eat, and offered no help in figuring out what to do while we waited. Once we got a shower and a room, service went up. Food was pretty good, stay away from buffets and go to some of the little places instead.

Was just about the worst....Arrived at hotel and was told please wait in lobby for an hour with my hustband and 2 kids until room ready. Waited and hour and a half-no room, just left hanging in there with no update no communication. Then advised could wait in hotel room as taking a little longer. 6 hours-6 hours later they advise our "upgraded room" ready. That room the same type as first. When we advised this not acceptable and we'd be leaving they tried to charge us for the day room. Maybe should have stayed in the lobby and thrown a fit or brushed our teeth there. As a travel agent was looking forward to the big Look to Book points but really will never ever recommend this particular Radison to anyone. To be fair the only people we dealt with were the Manager and counter clerk....but hey, who runs the hotel and what example do they set for the staff?

Just got back from 2 weeks at the golden resort. I went with my boyfriend, he's 20 and i'm 19. We couldn't fault the hotel because it was very clean and tidy, the staff were all wonderful, especially Mohammed and Reda. The food was good, there was always something for everyone to eat.... and drink! The only thing that was a disappointment was that there wasn't much entertainment but we took the hotel mini bus into Naama Bay (about 20 minutes away) a couple of times and went across the road to the Radisson. (the italian restaurant is very nice)You just have to entertain yourselves. The aqua park is non-existant, it was supposed to be built May 2007 but i think it will be next year. I would recommend this hotel and we are definately going back there maybe next year! p.s the weather was fab!!!!

We went to the Radisson SAS in September/October 2006.This holiday was what more than I could ever have expected. I thought I was in the wrong hotel when we got there as it was like something from a film with marble everywhere!!. The staff were fantastic couldn't have done enough for us. Food was good but sometimes repetitive. The entertainment during the day was good around the pool, water volleyball etc to keep you entertained.The bedouin tent night is fab with belly dancing entertainment and fantastic food. The cocktails are fantastic and who can complain with all your drink until midnight free!. Make sure when you get to the airport DO NOT BUY A VISA as you automatically are covered when going to Cairo/Luoe on excursions with the hotel. Nama Bay is the town about 5 mins drive away and restaurants are priced very cheap for great food and huge portions if you fancy a change. The local night life is ar Ricks across the road in the SAS sister hotel and although it wasn't very full we went often and had a good laugh. We are going back in October again as just loved. You are really treated like royalty and the hotel and staff are fantastic. Also you dont need to change to Egyptian pounds keep your sterling or Euro's we made the mistake of changing and bring some 1 and 2 pond or euro coins for tips!! Enjoy

had brilliant time in 2006 going back in may 2007 room very clean food good very relaxing very friendly staff trips a bit pricy otherwise great value

i went to the raddison sas in january 2007 and loved every moment. the staff were fantastic cudnt of asked for better service and they were so friendly..meet alot of lovely people and going to go back next year.

we can not fault this place. we have been 2 sharm 4 times now all great people great looking 2 by a property now wayne.maggs

hi, just returned from the golden resort in sharm.first time in egypt.was wary because of the trouble a few weeks ago but found very tight securrity.very friendly & clean hotell. was very surprised at size of room it was huge.the beautiful landscaping around hotel was amazing.ok as long as you realise you are quite tied to hotel complex as there are no walks as such.you can taxi or bus into sharm and narma bay.we did not do the trips to piramids as it was a 6 hour coach journey and far to hot but those who did enjoyed it........... what we didnt like is, when using your money it was always "NO CHANGE".very friendly and happy staff.........
