do not choose to stay here
By jcw, 01/28/09
between the cockroaches that I found in the refrigerator and the repeated killings of between 2 and 7 others per day ( nevernind that I was only in the room between about 7 pm and 5:30 am) the daytime staff was responsive to some of the deficiencies while the pm crew was both non responsive and in fact rude. I will never again choose to house my crew nor my self here. 3000$ per week down the drain due to excruciatingly bad service for the money.

reservations mean nothing here so don't stay here
By mandy, 07/24/08
I booked this place 2 weeks in advance for two rooms with 2 double beds. we arrive, after a 6 hour drive, to wait in line for 1 hour to get to the front desk. everyone was mad and fussing as they walked out, and i feared the worst. This place was so overbooked that paid for reservations were not being honored. We had 5 kids in our group and it was friday night. We ended up getting a queen bed for one night and told our other nights were unavailable. i asked for a refund and expressed my anger and all i got were excuses. people were mad everywhere and were in abig group in the parking lot fussing. the area didnt seem safe at all. the manager pulled off her name tag and left 1 employee there to deal with all the mad guest. the rooms were not clean, as we were told they were understaffed and they offered us cleaning supplies. i asked for a phone book and the front desk didnt have one. another guest found one and we sat in the parking lot calling other hotels until we found something to accomodate us for the rest of our stay. reservations mean nothing here, so dont bother.

We can't wait NOT to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/19/08
First, there is no no smoking rooms. Had to wash all our clothes, even the ones we didn't wear to get rid of the stench of cigarette smoke. Next, the carpet itself was not very clean. Third, they use a very heavy spray to mask the stench of cigarette smoke. Fourth, the comforter had a hole through the center. Fifth and this is very minor, the vanity edge cap was broken and the shower dripped. No brochures of attractions nor maps of the area. The one good area, I asked for extra towels and was brought a whole new set. Of course, the quality of the towels is sorely lacking and they were more like 80 grit sand paper. If you want economy with a capital E, this is the place. For a few dolloars more, you can find a regular motel and have a breeakfast too.

Save yourself the trouble try Motel 6
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/07
Motel 6 is just up the road.I have stayed there before and wish I had done so again. The location is less than desirable, other than being close to the airport. I made reservations through a third party. The dates were wrong. I printed off the paperwork and was charged a different rate upon check-in;ten dollars more per day for my eight day stay. I was told to come back during working hours to see mamagement. The hotel check-in is like applying for a mortgage. I was asked for my ID. I thought it was to verify my credit card, but before I knew it she had made a photo copy of my id nad credit card( not good buisness during these Id theft days).I have only had this done at one foreign hotel that I was lied to when checking in and when I got my current home mortgage. I would have changed hotels but there was a full days penalty for not cancelling before 4 pm. They also told me I had to pay for all eight days up front to get the weekly discount. I later saw in the paperwork that was given to me after I paid that the were no refunds if I checked out early. The rooms are ok. Not the cleanest, but the linen was clean.Photos online look exactly like rooms. Overall the hotel is just ok. The management need a serious overhaul. Motel six is a better choice if you dont need the kitchen and microwave.

Sun Suites of Gulfport, Ms has Nice Rooms & Dependable High Speed Internet Access
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/07
1) I prefer a Full Kitchen when traveling. I like to buy fresh vegetables, fruit and juices. The full refrigerator allows you to keep all types of food fresh. 2) High Speed Internet Access is available and had a strong signal. Most hotels are very weak, but not the room I stayed in. 3) We take our 2nd trip to Gulfport August 3rd and are booked at Sun Suites again.

A quiet, safe, convenient facility
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/25/07
I have only one complaint about Sun Suites, and that is that I did not have an ironing board and iron in my room. Everything else was really quite satisfactory, and the location was excellent for a recent visit with my son, who is in Advanced Training at Keesler AFB. I would definitely stay here again.
