Wow! This place is nice!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/01/05
I stayed here with my wife and 2 small children (4 and 2). We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a jacuzzi tub on the deck outside. The room was very nicely finished and had plenty of room for us all. There is a pull out bed in the couch in the living room. This resort is on an island connected to Ucluelet by a causeway. One side looks into the town and the other side of the property looks over the Ucluelet Inlet. We stayed on the Ucluelet Inlet side and found it to be the most peaceful place we have ever stayed at. We were within walking distance of the town (about 1 km) and of the crashing waves of the open ocean (about 2 kms). There is a fantastic trail there called the Wild Pacific Trail. The trail follows the shoreline on the open ocean where the waves crash against the rocks. There are many benches to enjoy the view from. It is about a 10 minutes drive to Long Beach and is as close to Long Beach as Tofino is. Ucluelet is a great little town and Tauca Lea was a great place to stay.

A trip of a lifetime!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/23/05
We went the first week in June - definitely a good buy. Five sister shared a suite with two bedrooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms,a view of the water and mountains, a fireplace, and a deck with a spa. Not only that, we had a pine tree just off the deck that had one or two visiting eagles each morning and evening. It was spacious, imaculate, and very economical. We each paid $50 US dollars per night and stayed 5 nights. Once again, still considered slightly off season when we were there. In addition to enjoying the West Coast trails and onsite restaurant (awesome), we all enjoyed a spa experience on site. Highly recommended!
