Small But Perfectly Formed Hotel

I'll be returning to the Arlecchino for my third stay in January - after two previous visits costing only £220 for a 3-night package with flights from Heathrow, the price is very good for such an otherwise expensive city. The hotel itself is small, only 28 rooms but most overlook the lovely side canals. The double rooms are nicely laid out with a sofa, tv, ornate and original features. Breakfast (continental) is served in a pleasantly decorated breakfast room overlooking the canals and has a small variety of bread rolls, croissants and cakes with meat, cheese, jams and marmalades to accompany with freshly brewed coffee and tea served by just one waiter, who has been there for years and is very friendly. The Vaporetto stop is approx 300yds away which links you to the grand canal with a route circling st marks square, rialto bridge, st lucia railway station and the piazalle roma.
