The best for kids!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/3/06
We stayed here for one week last summer, our first trip to OC. We were so happy with everything here that we are making this our yearly family vacation and are going to keep staying here. We have 3 kids, ages 2, 4, and 10. They loved the childrens pool. We spent most of our days there. There is so much to do in the pool area and the kids were never bored. It' s also in a great location. The rooms were great as was the service that the employees gave us. I would definatly recommend this place to stay to everyone, especially if you have kids.

A Fine Establishment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/4/06
The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites on 17th street in Ocean City is an incredible value for all that you get with it. You get all of the luxury of a condo with the benefits of a fully equipped hotel staff. Many times my family and I have stayed in a condo/apartment and had to supply all of the basics (sheets, towels, etc.) and if any problems arose we had to wait until one of the few employees were available to tend to us. At the Holiday Inn, all of the basics were already there, we had the luxury of daily housekeeping, and there was a fully equipped staff to tend to our needs. Not only was it a beautiful room with an awesome view and location, it was run by a friendly and accomodating staff. Yes, there is a minimum stay required, but that hardly makes the staff "difficult." They're only following the rules! All in all, it's a great place and if you can afford it, go!!! or wait until the off season when the prices drop:)

Great Stay/Great Service
By Jaclyn, 1/26/06
My fiance and I stayed here for our 3rd valentine's anniversary together. It was so amazing. The hotel staff was great. They treated us like celebrities. My boy-friend ask the management to lit candles for me before I arrived and they were happy to apologize. It was the most romantic thing I've ever seen. The food in the restaurant was great. The room serice even went across the street and got us the variety of beer that we requested. The jacuzzi was AMAZING :) I would recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!

SCABIES!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/6/06
I slept on the pull out sofa in out suite. After coming home I ended up at the Doctor's office only to discover that I had SCABIES!!! I had not been anywhere new or different other than the Holiday Inn and no one I live with had the ugly little bugs. This is perfectly understandable. When I pulled out the bed there was a virtual buffett on the mattress. Popcorn, candy, crumbs, SCABIES anyone??! Also - the parking is horrible and I was the 9/05. Good luck in July.

Great location
By steve, 12/3/05
Great views, large rooms. The service was excellent. My parents will not stay anywhere else in Ocean City. It is located right on the beach and is walking distance to all the major attractions in Ocean City, Maryland.

Dont Even Bother!
By Firecrackerbob, 10/14/05
The rooms there are great BUT the hotel is a pain to deal with. I have actually called there at noon on a saturday in JANUARY and been told there is a two night minimum(at 120/night). I just called for reservations for thanksgiving and was told there was a 4 night minimum! I like the view there and the rooms, but honestly I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future....my parents have had similar poor experiences and will not return. They found the tiling in the room above them made the room very noisy, and after a fire alarm at 3am where they had to stay outside for 1.5 hours, they cut there trip short and were not refunded any money. If someone from the company reads this, take note-your place isnt that great to be so snobbish!

One of the nicest Holiday Inns that there is in the US!
By Scott, 10/13/05
We stayed at the Holiday Inn and Suites on 17th Street the summer the hotel opened. We were very impressed with the hotel and the friendly staff at the front desk. We usually stay at the Quality Inn next door, but due to an unexpected family emergency, we had to cancel our reservations. The staff at the Quality Inn were exceptionally nice and understanding of our situation and when we asked if we could stay there a different week, they were booked full but sent us over to the Holiday Inn, since both hotels are part of the Harrison Group. The Holiday Inn is very nicely decorated and is not what I think of when I think of a Holiday Inn. Our room was fantastic. We got an end room, which is all that was left, which has a king bed and whirlpool tub in the bedroom, overlooking the ocean. The most impressive part of the room was the awesome shower. Not only did the shower have one showerhead, but three! We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn, but have not stayed there since because it is just a little too expensive for us, since we don't spend a whole lot of time in the room unless the weather isn't nice. (At least it is not nearly as expensive as the new Hilton on the 32nd Street will be, which I've heard that it will cost $435/night to stay there during Fourth of July weekend in 2006). The only complaint I have about the Holiday Inn is that the fire alarm when off duringthe middle of the night on our last night there, but the same thing has happened to us at the Quality Inn next door twice and probably happens at every hotel in Ocean City. This Holiday Inn is the nicest hotel on the boardwalk and its first year was so successful that an addition was built and a children's activity pool was added for summer 2003. If money is not an issue for you, than I would highly recommend staying at the Holiday Inn and Suites on 17th Street. You'll be glad that you did!
