completely disappointed!

My family and I stayed at the downtown/lakefront Chicago Embassy and didn't have issues until we checked out of the hotel. A pair of $90 shoes were accidently left in the hotel room. We called that same day and were told they had not been turned in yet. Was asked to call the next day and did so and still nothing. It has been over 2 weeks dealing with the hotel and just received a call today from the "Director" of Security and he basically said I was out of luck that the shoes couldn't be located and that housekeeping doesn't remember seeing them, even though they were right on the floor of the bathroom. So if you make the mistake of staying at this hotel make sure you check - double check your stuff because it won't be there when you call later to get it back!!!

Terrible Sales Service

Personally, I haven't been to the hotel and I just wanted to get a quote for a group of people and after I called the sales department, they just transfer me on and off to different department, then the department will transfer me back to the sales, which is a complete waste of time. After all of that, they can't quote me on anything because the group isn't big enough and the attitude of the person who's talking on the phone makes me doesn't want to go to the hotel. A person with that bad attitude on the phone, I don't know what kind of service that can provide in the hotel!!!!!

i was never at this hotel, I just wrote to tell youy about the hotel in traverse city and this came up. So please put through the first letter but this letter is not really helpful to you and I a m sorry about that.

Caring, Courtesy, Competent!

This hotel is the best! The staff went out of their way to make us feel "at home". Our room and the hotel was immaculate. Didn't have a "hotel" smell. Shortcoming is the layout, one has to travel from one elevator to another to get in and out, along the way you see everyone's smiling faces and their eagerness to help you find your way. Definitely deserves 5 STARS. Letty Hernandez

manager fixed a awful situation

Upon arrival we were settling in when my wife discovered a problem in the bathroom. The previous guests left soiled underwear. The manager responded to our disgust very professionally. We were re-located and given some financial consideration. We will go back again because they made things right. Jerry Reeves, troy.mi.

Great location, all suite hotel, WOW!

The breakfast is to die for. It's ashame that they limit the number of drinks you can have at the reception, but it's free. I like have a suite with a door that shuts so the kids can't bug me and 2 TV's, a fridge, and a microwave are a definate plus! Don't for get to ask for the American Girl Place Discount- it's a great bargain most of the time. The staff isn't always that friendly and the call center they transfer their reservations to can leave something to be desired. It's not even in the city, no matter what they tell you.

I love this place. One visit made my whole night worth while. I went there with my boyfriend and the service was just unbelievable. I really did enjoy the scenary and the food was best. Thanks!

Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown

The hotel was located in a great area. The room was very spacious and the view from our room was spectacular! We enjoyed both the Managers Reception at night and the huge complimentary breakfast in the morning. The only problem was with parking. We waited forever for valet parking and then decided to park the car ourselves. The parking staff loaded our belongings on a cart and said they would bring them to our room shortly. When they didn't arrive, we found them unattended on a cart in the valet parking area!! I recommend that you take your cart of belongings up to the room yourself even though they insist on doing it.
