Don't Stay Here!!!!!!

We were in Anaheim for a cabling contract, and stayed with the Extended Stay America. Among all of the police raids, prostitutes and bad service......the dead guy topped it all. We were staying there on the fourth floor in early March-late April of 2008. My 16 Month old son and I came to our floor (fouth floor) and I almost fell to the floor with an awful smell I couldn't help but notice. We had already been there for about 2 weeks and in the few days prior to this particular day had noticed a really bad smell. We had complained about his smell for about 6 days and they said everything was fine, and that they would move us to another room. 2 days went by and still no new room. A few more days went by. The day I almost fell to the floor consisted of police blocking off the top floor of the hotel. The smell was sooooo awful I asked the first person I saw, which was a coroner. She said I should go to my room. I asked her what had happened and she said again go to your room. I then said MY CHILD IS HERE, SHOULD WE LEAVE? She said no and to go to our room. Feeling a little uneasy I went out and asked the officers what was going on, and they told me a man was dead. I said well OMG but, I know of most of the people on this floor, can I help? He showed me a picture and asked if I had seen the man in the photo; I said no. He said he had been dead at least 7 days. I think a hotel should keep some type of regulatory system on their rooms, and should at least drop off some towels every two days or so. After everything was said and done, I had been in the hallway talking with other people staying there, and had knelt down to pick something up. My pants were wet with something red, I freaked out. The office said that I should not worry. I then realized there was a huge blood stain all the way down the hallway and into the elevator from the coroner hauling the body off to the morgue. They stuck a bunch of air fresheners in the hallway to mask the smell. The fan that they stuck in the dead guys room fanned it out into the parking lot. It was an awful experience. I will never stay there again.
