Grand Timber Lodge, Breckenridge

My family and I visited Grand Timber at Christmas this year for a week and loved it. We bought a fixed week this year and this was our first visit. Wow I scored on this purchase of a timeshare. My kids truly enjoyed the stay. My kids are small and the resort caters to family needs. It has multiple pools and hot tubs and a sauna and steam room and work out room. It has a game room and wii for the kids in the main building. The pizza in the lodgepole was a great dinner for all. The two bedroom two bath unit we own is very spacious and well appointed to all of our needs. The were multiple tv's to support all of the family viewing needs in the evening. We highly recommend!

Well, I was disappointed with the "grand" timber lodge. It seems every day, maintenance takes the opportunity to bang loudly, cut wood, generally create a loud disturbance. This would be fine if they did it in a remote area, enclosed building, etc, but they have a shed right in the middle of the complex and leave the doors open (during the summer). My 19 month old was woken up every day. Even after I called the front desk to complain, it still occurred. You can't shut the windows in the summer, it is Waaay to hot (for some reason they leave the basement level garage heat on (80F degrees when the outside is 40F) so the heat just floats up the first floor). I called the front desk 3 times, and was basically told that maintenance had to be loud sometime, and I just happened to have a child sleeping during the time they chose as the least obtrusive. What the hell happened to a peaceful, quiet vacation. Move your maintenance, make them shut the door, or at least try to keep it quiet (especially if you're told a child is sleeping). Now, as to the other issues, spend some money and buy some shower heads that don't cause the skin to be flayed from your body. Dear God, I don't know how I managed to shower without killing myself. Fix the sauna, they're supposed to go to 160-180F (dry), this one never topped 100F which I could have got in the garage with less effort (also contacted the front desk, nothing resolved). High speed internet, watch out they'll charge you for it. For Pete's sake, I can get free wireless in a Ramada, why should I pay for it here. The only thing this place has going for it is that it's in Breckenridge and the shuttle.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Timber Lodge! Our room in bldg 8 was beautiful with a great view! The rooms were clean, impressive, and so comfortable. I loved the full kitchen that's stocked and ready to go with utensilsl, too. I've been here before in different bldgs, and will continue coming back to our wonderful retreat in Breckenridge! Were also owners in a time share, this was one of our destinations this winter. We spent valentines week here, we have been to alot of winter ski resorts and this is by far one of the best. The reasons are: close to the slopes, a short ski/walk, shuttle to and from town unbelievably on time and convienent, Bar and two huge hot tub's and pool, spa on site, underground parking and yes this may not be the hyatt, its more like your own condo, you do have to take out the trash and put your dishes in the dishwasher. Really no dislikes, we will be back.

From the room, to the outdoor hot tubs, to the onsite bar and grill, the experience and service is top notch. Skiing access is also good with an on site ski rental. My wife and I actually like to cross country ski while the kids and grandkids down hill. The selection of CC ski trails in the area is also great. Just look on line for a listing of trails and Nordic centers.

Great place to spend quality time with my spouse. Went horseback riding, toured the town and loved the hugh 2-bedroom room. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent swiming pool. Great service. Nice and big garage. Clean and comfortable rooms. There is a big forest near by that is great for taking long walks. Everything was beautiful. We have no dislikes about this place.

I did not like the difficulty of ski-in ski-out at the resort. The shuttle was a much more convenient way to get to, or from the lifts. The pools and hot tubs were nice and we parked very close to our studio. Shuttles were always available, making it a nice place to stay if you did not want to rent a car.

We are owners and this is the best investment we have ever made! We love to fly out to Colorado and stay at our beautiful vacation property. It is very clean, the people who maintain the property do an excellent job. We are proud to be owners of this 5 star property!!!!!!!!!!! We always hate to leave and wish we could stay longer!! We have owned our property 7 yrs.
