Holiday Inn Express and Suites Corbin, Corbin

The executives at Holiday Inn Express must not stay at their own hotels. The TV ads show a clean upscale room with a delicious breakfast for an outstanding value. If my experience was anything like they advertise, I wouldn't be complaining. The building has been completely remodeled, but the old run down structure still bleeds through. The quality of the remodeling was obviously done by the the lowest bidder. The faux contemporary cherry wood furniture is of poor quality and is already showing signs of wear and tear. There is a flat screen TV, but it's not using an HD signal. The cord on the room phone was broken. The free Wi-Fi did not work, I should have called the front desk for help, but my phone was broken. The breakfast was unfit for human consumption. The biscuits were solid as a rock all the way through. The omelettes were dry and appeared to made from styrofoam. Don't offer a free breakfast if the employees can't properly heat frozen food in a microwave. The executives at Holiday Inn figured they could steal your hard earned dollars by installing a granite bathroom countertop and throwing some fake leather chairs on the floor. It's just an old junky hotel with a fancy look. They didn't even bother changing the wall switch plates to match the new decor. The room was clean and everything was tidy, but that's expected at any price, Try staying at the Drury Inn or La Quinta if you want to spend this kind of money.

This is the best place to stay the rooms were so clean and the people in the hotel were very nice. The continental breakfast was enough and if you want more it is right next to McDonalds. And if you stop early enough and would like a nice dinner go to O'Malley's very nice people there and great food. Definately would stay again.

Only spent one night, but was well-pleased with everything. Good continental breakfast; clean; pleasant staff. FYI: If you go to the nearby Italian restaurant - do NOT get the Chicken Marsala --could not taste any marsala! Sent it back and just ate the salad and bread.

First impressions are sometimes misleading. While doing business in Corbin I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for 6 Weeks! This place was awesome! The staff treated me like family.They were very accommodating. The breakfast was great, rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable.It's easy to enjoy a Hotel for 1 or 2 nights, but staying for 6 weeks really put this place to the test and they PASSED! (If you stay there, be sure to say hello to Tom and Rhonda for me!) Sandy
