Rooms average, prices too high.

Stay away, the Princess Lodge is better and is in a better location to walk to shops and dining in Denali Park. The Grande Denali Lodge has a courtsey van but the manager would not let it take us to meet the motorcoach back to Anchorage, instead we had to take the shuttle bus to our drop point at the bottom of the mountain at 6:00 AM to meet a 7:20AM motorcoach. For the price of a room ($385) looks like they could be more accommidating!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel sits up high on a cliff overlooking the vast Denali forest and mountains. Mt. Mckenley can be seen on clear days. The room, while not luxurious, are clean with great views on ONE side of the hotel. Ask for an odd numbered room. Rooms have TV, phone, desks. The restaurant is fine dining. Wireless internet in lobby. Free shuttle to town.
