Comfort Suites Davis, Davis

I recently needed to travel to Woodland, CA for family reasons, yet when I looked at room rates I could not believe that Davis had better rates. Downtown Davis is a short drive from this hotel and offers better entertainment, shopping, and dinning options over Woodland. My room experience was ok, and my only complaint was with the thundering hippo and elephant dancing in the room above me (that or there was a basketball game being played in the room above us) as late as midnight and resumed as early as 5 A.M. Other than the heavy footed neighbors it was very quiet, and clean.

My non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The bathroom was not very clean and the bathroom sink had a major leak. I informed the front desk of the problem my first night. When I returned to the room the second day, the leak still was not fixed.

They had an interesting breakfast with a do-it-yourself waffle maker. They had eggs, sausages and english muffins so you couldmake a breakfast sandwich. It said "Continental Breakfast" but it was so much more! The only problem was that there was only one waffle maker and it was in such demand that you could tell some people were disappointed in having to wait. Although the room was very big and very clean it was right beside some sort of central heater for the building and it made an awful sound through out the night. It didn't bother my husband or our baby but it drove me crazy. YOu could tell someone else was also distrubed and had mistaken the inside heater as the culpret and had tried to take it appart.

So...yeah...I just got back from my stay at the Comfort, and I gotta say, they don't call it Comfort for nothing. I felt that the room and the beds were incredably comfortable. The staff were courteous and there were a few shopping plazas nearby.
