PASSPORT STOLEN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/11
No safes in the room! and you will need one! When I arrived at the airport on the day I checked out fromthe hotel, I realized my passport was gone.. I had placed it in a hidden pocket of my suitcase. (well I thought it was hidden), No door gaskets, light from hallway illuminates the inside of my room Poorly cleaned rooms Noisy paper thin walls. I could hear everything my neighbors said or watched on tv Road noise, jake brakes, harleys blasting off. The hotel is at the crossroads of 49 and 59 Kitchen staff is better at catering to their conventions than the restaurant guests

Stolen Rings!!!
By Kimkimmee, 6/8/09
Do not stay at this hotel! We stayed there bcause my brother is being shipped to Afghanistan. Didn't think we'd go wrong with staying at a Holiday Inn. I realized that I had left my wedding ring and another aquamarine ring that my husband had given me, on the bathroom counter. I called them about an hour after checking out. Front desk person was rude, and said he would check with housekeeping. I called back after I didn't hear anything from them, and asked for a manager. They didn't want to give me the manager, and said they had checked with housekeeping, and no rings were found. I know they were there!!!!! My brother in law called back and insisted on talking to a manager. He got the run around as well. The room stank, and they started mowing the grass at 6:30 am. We didn't complain about that. But being stolen from, and the "oh well" attitude from them is ridiculous. I filed a police report, but will never stay in another Holiday Inn.

OH MY GOSH!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/1/07
Well when I walked in I thought the hotel was beautiful. Then I walked in my room, the light fixture was on the floor the bathroom was halfway cleaned. Housekeeping had left their supplies in the room. I only allowed housekeeping in my room one time and they threw newspapers I had laid on the table to read when I got back from work, away. My theory if I meant for it to be trashed that's where it would have been. I didn't receive my wake up calls. And then to top it all off, some things were taken. Nothing of great value, but none the less, What if I had left something of value????? The young girl who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. Now for the rest I agree with the SNOTTY and attitude of "Do you have to bother Me!" and I'm sorry but if you can't be polite, get a job that requires no communication with other folks. Although I think the Stay would have been pleasant had I not needed to BOTHER the front desk or housekeeping. I did however enjoy the restuarant, they were very nice and acted like they were glad we were there. And everything I ordered was great! So way to go emp. at the restuarant.

The Double Beds are sooooo Small!!! BEWARE
By TISHA, 7/12/07
The lobby and entrance bathrooms are beautiful. However, once you enter the rooms and halls, you will be shocked by the vast difference in the quality of the rooms. The beds are too small. They will only accomodate kids. Two adults will not sleep comfortable in these beds. You may also get a room where the access key does not work. I recommend the hotel by the Grand movie theatre : The MARRIOTT.....

Worst hotel stay EVER.
By Texassippi G, 6/22/06
I have never stayed at a more disgusting place in my life, and in my occupation, I travel a lot. I've stayed in everthing from the Hilton to Days Inn to mom-n-pop roadway inns. Let me tell you, this was my worst experience ever. *No room key cards. You had to be let in your room by maintenance. *Smells like cat urine in the hallway and room. *Microwave didn't work. Stovetop busted. A/C in its death throes. As is the TV. *snotty front-desk staff. *pool closed; looks like the green lagoon with caution tape all around it. *iron in the room was in two pieces, with mildew in the water tank. * comforter stained, dirty. *someone entered our room while we were out, and it was open when we returned. I called the front-desk, received an "oh, well!" type response. *did not feel safe. Slept with mace on the bedstand. *The "suite" was not a "suite" but more like a room with a kitchenette. Take a normal size room, add a kitchenette in one corner, and a tiny bathroom, and you have a "suite" at this hotel. For $130. Stay at Fairfield Inn or Hattiesburg Inn on the Hill, instead. Both are cheaper, nicer, and the staff at those two hotels know how to treat customers. I wrote a longer review on this hotel at tripadvisor. Be sure to read that if you are thinking about staying at this place.

Stolen Items!!!!!!
By CrazeeKittie, 1/18/06
Ok--I know up front that hotels are not responsible for items left in rooms--but I stayed in this hotel overnight and left a couple of pieces of jewelry in the desk drawer. I called the hotel a couple of hours later, the room had not been rented and the only person to have been in the room was the housekeeper and the desk clerk who went to check if my rings were there and they were no where to be found. Someone there took them--obviously and the manager was just like, "Oh well, we're not responsible." Nothing really I could do but file a police report, which basically turned up nothing. Word of warning--if you have valuables--don't leave them unattended in a hotel. I learned a hard and expensive lesson. :(
