Red Carpet Inn Hanover, Hanover

I stayed at the Red Carpet Inn and found it very nice. From what I learned the hotel is under new ownership and and they are doing a wonderful job. I couldn't believe the comments I read on these reviews but the new owners have really turned this place around. They told my family they replaced the comforters and sheets and they look beautiful! It was well worth the money! I would stay here again!

never agian, cards never worked had to get them to redo the cars so we could get in and out, not very big and smelled, the outside was a mess with treash beside building, and serives was bad at desk

Not much to like about this one!! Room was dirty, tiles, floor and sink in bathroom not clean; especially walls and floor. Thick dust on edge of tile and spots all over the wall plus a layer of dust you could see!! Toilet was shut off; no water in tank and it was in non-working condition. When we went to take a shower, the water was barely lukewarm. Room was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled of smoke and during the morning filled with smoke from somewhere. I had to cover my face with a sheet to be able to breath (severe allergies). Sheets were laid on the bed, not tucked in at all (?) Pillowcases had hair on them. Floor had debri on it; little papers and plastic from tags on clothing. (I do housekeeping and notice these things!! They do not make the grade. It was a very bad experience for us because these owners don't care enough to take time to do a good job to clean and care for this place. What a shame! The location is good and could bring in money but the attitude of the owners is not good. Read other reviews that talk about BEDBUGS!! Luckily I didn't experience them!! Board of Health needs to take notice of this place! I spoke with two other families staying there and they had similar experiences. All complained on unclean rooms, smoke in non-smoking rooms and mold (two drawbacks for folks with allergies). I spoke to two desk clerks and asked that adjustments be made; one told me that the manager would call me but, naturally I didn't hear from him and no adjustment was made.

I reserved a block a rooms for a soccer tournament and the hotel was a disgrace. There were mice and bedbugs in some of the rooms. Some of us were overcharged and others had their reservations cancelled by the hotel. They would only give us 4 pillows for a suite that slept 6 and the sofa bed fell down throughout the night. Also, the rooms smelled of mold and mildew. If you value your health and comfort, do not stay here.
