Would not stay here again
When we made the reservation, the property was a HoJo. When we arrived, it was part HoJo and part Hampton Inn.
We had difficulty locating the hotel -- because the building was covered with scaffolding and there was no signage or address markings. A phone call was necessary to locate the hotel. It's temporary entrance was an unmarked plywood hall beneath the scaffolding. After a long wait, we took the only operating elevator to the 6th floor where the temporary front desk was located.
As we checked in, we were informed that the hotel was having air conditioning problems. The desk clerk voluntarily assigned us a different room (supposedly "not as hot"). She also told us they would deliver a portable fan. The fan was never delivered, but they eventually got the air conditioning running.
The first time we used the bathroom, the toilet overflowed. I asked the desk clerk to send someone from maintenance to try to fix the toilet and to send up fresh towels (since the ones provided were used to mop up the water on the bathroom floor). Twenty minutes later, someone from housekeeping handed me a plunger at the door. Despite several additional requests, fresh towels were never delivered.
Even worse, the hotel did not honor the original room quote since we had been "upgraded" when we were relocated due to the air conditioning problem. There should not have been a surcharge for updating when the update occurred because of property problems
Several letters have been written to both HoJo and Hampton with no acknowledgement.
I definitely would not stay here again.
