Ok-Stay
By Michele, 1/1/10
The price was very reasonable. It's location is in the middle of everything. The people are nice. The room is fine if you are coming and going. However, we had trouble finding it. The signs aren't that visible. There is no parking including. We had to find a parking a garage around the corner.

Horrible!!!
By none, 7/21/09
I couldn't check in before 3pm. I had meetings and needed to get ready. I paid $50 for an upgrade. This was so I could get into a room at 2pm. The bathroom had all plastic trailer park style fixtures with burnt brown marks, and no tub or hot water. The room was tiny and a little like a depressing dorm room. The staff was uppity and rude when I complained about it being listed as a 3.5 considering the quality. It's a business hotel that clearly is more appropriate being associated with a YMCA. Not in a fun way.

Don't worry. It's fine. Incredible Value!
By Ann, 12/10/08
I hate staying in hotels. I always bring my own sheet and pillow just in case the cleanliness of the place is at all questionable. I didn't even need it at Club Quarters - a real relief, especially after the mixed reviews I had read online. I was in town for business, and needed a place to stay for just one night, and for just myself. The room and bathroom are rather small, but perfectly fine for one person or for two people who don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room. The bathroom is kind of "European" - don't expect a long, hot shower or a bath, and do expect that the bathroom will be soaked when you are finished bathing. As for the previous poster's complaint about the in-room coffee pot... seriously? Just go to the lobby for fresh coffee and tea. And they offer free bottled water and open access to amenities closets. I would definitely stay here again.

We can't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/6/08
1. Terrible room - Very cramped 2. Very basic bathroom - Doesn't even have a bath tub & proper shower. 3. Hot water takes forever to come. 4. Huge diffrence between actual and advertised 5. Small amenities like coffe maker also were in bad condition. Not Value for Money.

Low Budget
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/07
I closed my eyes and crossed my fingers, and waited for the results of my bid on Priceline for a 3.5 star hotel in Philadelphia. I wasn't too afriad, because I assumed that downtown Philly wouldn't have any bad hotels that were 3.5 stars. The verdict was in. I had "won" a hotel. Club Quarters. Since I hadn't really heard anything about this hotel, I became a little nervous. All of my worst fears became a reality once I checked into my room. I travelled with a few other people, and initially front desk gave me a room with just one full-sized bed. I requested a room with two beds, and to my dismay, the room had two twin-sized beds! I haven't slept on a twin-sized bed since college. The room was the size and shape of an economy cruise ship. The view? The view was of a brick wall and dumpsters. The bathroom was equivalent to prison bathrooms. It was so small that I could put my leg in the shower while sitting on the toilet. The toilet paper was one-ply and the roll was half-used when we got there. The hotel did not have parking, but informed us that the garage across the street would give us a hotel discount. HA. I stayed a weekend and spent over $100 in parking fees. This was definitely a horrendous experience and I would not recommend this "hotel" to anyone. Please be careful when booking hotels on discount sites. They glorify everything, and once you spend your money, you are stuck. Beware.

Price/value ok, Internet access extremly slow
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/9/07
Stayed here now for the second time. The price/value is ok, the location is great if you want to stay down town next to some nice restaurants and bars Rooms are tiny - if cheap rooms are booked. hard to move around at all. Ok for one person, but difficult if you want to stay with 2 or more. Bathroom ok, shower ok, but also very tiny. But really a downer is the Internet service. It's free. But it is so slow that it takes during the evening almost 5 minutes to download a few emails with total of 200kb (I stayed now 5 nights and it's every night the same). It's incredible slow, forget working on the internet. Even booking a flight is almost impossible between 6 pm and 11 pm. The internet connection in the lobby via cable is also extremly slow. When reporting it to the front desk, the woman just hang up on my with the comment:come down to the lobby.. For business travelers which need to work in the room and do not bring a cellular phone based internet access card they better do nor stay here or go to the Starbucks on the other side of the street!!!

Love It, But...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/07
It seems like everyone is paying less than I do for this hotel. I pay almost $200/night including taxes. The location is extremely good, the staff are super friendly, the room is very clean with a nice cozy bed. The amenities are good with free wifi and I need wifi...even better that they didn't charge extra. BUT... The only problem I had is that the room is a bit small and the elevator is super slow. I would of stayed here again if they would fix the elevator and give me a bigger room. I came back home with bruises all over my legs and arms, because I was bumping into things. No, I'm not a big girl either...I'm an average size asian girl and I bruise very easily. Will I stay here again...? 50/50

very good
By JOYCE, 7/31/07
THE HOTEL WAS CENTRALLY LOCATED FOR MY PURPOSE, SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS GETTING A "SMOKING" ROOM. EITHER THE RESERVATION PROCESS HAD NO WAY TO ASK FOR IT OR THE HOTEL DIDN'T SAVE THE RIGHT KIND. A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE OTHERWISE.

Good hotel, good location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/6/07
I was pleased with this hotel. The hotel and my room was small when compared to chains such as Days Inn but the room was updated and clean by comparison. The large lobby area provides a gathering place with sofas, magazines and free high speed internet service. Complimentary continental breakfast is served in this area. The lobby is on the second floor and the small slow elevators make access to/from the street a bit annoying. There aren't any stairs for security reasons. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. They offered assistance with check-in as well as items of interest in the area. There are different size rooms. The small single person room is small. Th bed was comfortable. I like to sleep with the window cracked and I was annoyed ny the constant street level din which could be heard on the sixth floor all night long. Overall I think Club Quarters shows a higher standard of attention to detail and quality. I'd check on the room size before booking if that is important. I'd also check local TV access if television is something you enjoy while in the room.
