Avoid this one if possible
My husband and I stopped here on our way to visit his relatives. His family had stopped here on past trips when it was privately owned, and they had a good experience. We stop and find out it's now a Motel 6, and we decide to stay anyway. My husband went in and asked for a room for "my wife and I". We got to the room and see there are two double beds in it. Not quite what a married couple would want.
A list of problems would be more appropriate to show how our experience was with this motel.
*A standing fan in the middle of the room. The air unit at the window wasn't able to keep the room cool enough on it's own.
*We wanted to watch tv and found the remote didn't work, and after walking to the tv saw that it wouldn't work either.
*There was no alarm clock or timepiece of any kind.
*They only supplied two small bars of soap, no shampoo.
*There wasn't even a bible in the room.
*There was also damage to the door, claw marks from some animal scratching to get out.
When we checked out, the person at the front desk asked us how our stay was. My husband mentioned that the TV didn't work and the person acknowledged the fact that some of the tvs didn't work. In the Motel 6 directory that was in our room (apparently it took the place of the Bible in the nightstand drawer) I looked up this location and saw that it said it was newly renovated. Not from the looks of our room.
In general, if aren't expecting much from a motel other than a bed and a roof over your head, this is the place for you. If your expectations are a little higher though you may want to look elsewhere, we certainly will be the next time we're near there.
