County Clare Irish Inn and Pub, Milwaukee

What a truely beautiful hotel,all of the staff go out of there way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible,the Irish style Pub and food are out of this world.The only bad thing about our 5 night stay was that we had to leave,see you again soon

Loved everything about County Clare on our first visit!!!! We will definitely return and tell friends about it! Beautiful, clean room......great food and service.....all staff was helpful and friendly. Reminded us of trips to the Emerald Isle!!!!!

We took a trip to Ireland this past summer and our stay at County Claire Inn made us fell like we were back in Ireland. The hostess was charming and helpfull, the rooms were comfortable and cozy, the Saturday night entertainment in the pub was great and the Irish breakfast the next day was delicious. We were up for a Marquette visit with our son and had a great time. We plan on staying there every time we go up to Milwaukee. It is a real treasure.

This is just a beautiful Irish Inn, and one that reminds one of being in Ireland. The rooms are charming, immaculate, and well-stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful! I will definitely return and spend a few nights exploring Milwaukee. This area reminds us of a mini-Chicago upscale neighborhood with lots of things going on. My hotel of choice will be, of course, County Clare. Thanks for the Touch of Ireland.

We'll be back several times. Great bar and rooms. Restaurant is also great. We're in the food and beverage business, so we know.

Pros: Fantastic Irish atmosphere, great breakfast included with stay, great tap beer selection in the pub. Only approx 24 rooms in the building. Walking distance to downtown and the lake (if its warm enough). Cons: We were there at the same time as a loud wedding party and didn't get much sleep. Walls/doors were thin (I could easily hear our whirlpool bath out in the hallway). Parking lot was always at capacity, but hotel was willing to accomodate. We stayed in the "Snug" room which was smaller to accomodate the elevator shaft. This room was definitely as "Snug" as advertised. Overall, cons were minor. I'd definitely go back to this place!

If you want to enjoy a traditional Irish meal and a pint this is the place to be. Everything from Shepherds pie to a potato of the day.

My husband and I just went to County Clare for our anniversary the weekend before Valentine's Day. What a gem! We got the last room available, the "snug" room, which is slightly smaller than the others, but definitely spacious enough for a couple. We loved our stay and the package deal we received. The food in the restaurant was superb, especially the soup with the sweet potatoes in it--I forget its name, but it was a taste sensation! Breakfast the next day was generous and delicious. Definitely a keeper!

Our stay at the County Clare was excellent. With only directions given to us off the internet we had a little difficulty finding it, but able to park and walk right in the back door. Upon arrival we were given a package with two yummy cookies. We decided to eat dinner in the Pub restaurant and the food was excellent. Room was clean and bed was comfortable Each guest is given a voucher for breakfast in the morning which consisted of home cooked french toast, potato fritters with onion and peppers, fresh fruit, sausage, scrambled eggs, and choice of a beverage. This was such a great experience we are making it our once a year vacation spot.
