Concorde El Salam Sharm El Sheikh, Al Arish

Felt compelled to write this report as our family (2 adults and 2 children aged 15/11) holiday, proved to be such a success. Hotel accomodation, food and service were first class. The staff particularly require a seperate mention as they were very helpful and always had a smile and a cheery comment. Buy snorkel and mask in the UK before you travel as snorkelling is a must and prices locally are very expensive (�24 for set) T Shirts are not allowed in the pools unless they are of swimming costume material, so if you have kids and wish to minimise the risk of sunburn buy before you travel (We went into Narma and had to search to find something appropriate). There is a regular shuttle bus from the hotel into Narma so do not really need the taxis. This area is primarily suited to an all Inclusive break as there is little in the way of shops and nightlife outside the hotel unless you travel into Narma. We loved it and plan to go again next year.

The hotel is very luxiourus with a suprior quality of service and a lot of activities other than going to the beach such as ice skating , horse back riding ,squach , soccer fields , water slides ..etc The only downside that it has a small beach

We returned to the Concorde Beach Hotel this year as lastyear I broke my ankle crossing the wooden bridge over the pool on the first night and therefore was confined to a wheelchair for the whole 2 weeks. Not the best of starts as my luggage went missing at the airport for the first 24 hours and the Direct Holidays rep Stephan was a complete wasts of space.He told me to sort out a taxi, barter the price and go to the airport to try and find it. It being Friday most of the airport staff were at prayers and the remaining people did not understand english, so I had to go back again at night time and try to explain about missing luggage to people who again did not understand english. and again barter with the taxi drivers. 7 days later I got the taxi fares back from Stephan. The staff at the hotel were the friendliest I've ever met and Samir/Ahmed and the gang at the beach bar could not do enough. The rooms were kept clean and a different towel display ranging from an elephants head to a peacock awaited us each day on our return to the room. The food was varied and on the whole good. Our only complaints regarding the hotel was the entertainment, the same chap as last year playing his guitar and singing the same songs every night. His partner would be better off on her own at least she could sing in tune. I expect better from a hotel of this star rating. Could they not open the beach bar in the evening for people who just want a quiet drink and a chat. The trip to Cairo by plane to see the pyramids was �85 dearer booking through the rep than if you booked from Naam Bay and it was exactly the same trip. I may return to the Concorde in a couple of years but never with Direct Holidays

We spent 2 weeks at the sports annex of the hotel in December 2005. My daughters comments as we walked through the door "whow". Could not fault the staff, food, facilities. Diving was great and the staff extremely friendly and willing to help. We spent hours snorkling on the house reef. We would recommned this hotel to anyone and will be returning as soon as we can.

Wonderfull hotel. Would recommend it to anybody. We went early July 2006 and have booked to go again next year. The sevice you get from the staff is the best I have found on any holiday, they can't do enough for you. There was no need to tip all the time as some people say, just little and ofton does the trick. Rooms were pretty standard but very clean. We only went for 1 week so didn't bother going into Naama Bay but it is only about 15 minutes awat and there is a curtesy bus that takes you there and brings you back as long as you make a reservation. The only thing I didn't like was the beach, very uncomfortable to walk on when wearing sandels but apart from that Brilliant. Cant wait to go back!!!!!!

i like everything, specialy food the beach the beach and the beach the swimming pool and service was very good and the stuff there was so nice i just like it so much love it love it

Had a brill holiday, can't wait to go back later in the year. They were such friendly and welcoming people. They just can't seem to do enough for you. The quality of service within the hotel was 1st class. Everything cleaned to a very high standard. All meals were buffet and there were a wide range of choice of dishes. No one left hungry. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and a thorough job done everytime. Even though we were 15 mins away from Naama Bay, there was a Shuttle bus to take you there, so if you wanted to venture out for the night and discover what was to offer or even to shopping, this was the place to go. The entertainment in the hotel could have been better, but this all depends what you want out of your holiday.

there was nothing to dislike about this holiday, everyone was very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were excellent the food was 1st class and the hotel was spotless. something for everyone to do

Just arrived back from a week at the Concorde el salam. What a great place to relax and unwind. Weather was fantastic didn't see a cloud for seven days. The staff are so friendy and make you feel very welcome, especially at the pool bar.( best beef burgers ever.....) Can't wait to go back next year for an excellent winter break.

The hotel is in a quiet location so not for anyone looking for the Egypt experience, but a fantastic hotel with loads of sun, (temperature in October was 34 degrees) food was really good, but the staff make you feel really special, always cheery no matter what you ask them for. The Russians seem to want to keep them selves to themselves, and don't know how to queue, but give them a wide birth and they are no trouble. The sea around the hotel is great for snorkelling, and one guest who went on a trip told us there were more fish to be seen around the jettys near the hotel than at the dive site they visited. If you are in doubt about going to this resort, and just want to be pampered, then go, we booked as soon as we got back, it's fantastic!!
