Great place for long term
By Tom L, 03/19/08
We sold our house earlier than expected and had to find a place big enough for 2 along with clothes, TV, sporting goods, etc to live on for that time. This hotel was excellent, very accommodating staff, and lowest rate in the area. Stayed for 2 1/2 months and moved in more goods than we thought possible, including 37inch TV, extra rack of clothes etc(they gave us a room that` had some extra space because of a building angle) Several other residents had been living there for 2 years! Right across the street from Costco was an added bonus, for easy / cheap lunch and roasted chicken for dinner if we didn`t want to cook. Would go back in a minute if had similar need.

This place is a dump, stay away!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/16/07
Having spent nearly 2 years of my life in hotels on business trips over the last 20 years, staying here was by far the worst experience I've ever had. This place has all the ambiance and cleanliness of a pay-by-the-hour motel right here in the heart of San Ramon. Despite reserverations for 4 in a non- smoking room, upon arrival the roll out beds were not made up (bare mattresses), and the room reeked of tobacco, legal and otherwise. Nice environment for my two young children. The housekeeping is terrible. Upon arrival, found an empty vodka bottle and blunt wrappers/loose tobacco under the bed. Housekeeper did not pick up on this the entire stay. They were in and out in 2 minutes. I guess vacuuming and checking under the beds is extra or not part of their training program. On the fourth day, they didn't even bother to show up. Phone calls were made to the front desk at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm asking that the room be made up. Assurances were given each time that they were on their way. A subsequent phone call at 5:00 revealed that housekeeping had gone home for the day. The king sized bed was like sleeping on the floor, and the pillow were like baloons. It's a good thing I left my black light at home.

Home away from Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/05
My husband stayed at the San Ramon Extended Stay, for 3 months, while he was away on business. The staff became like family to him. On my first trip to spend the weekend with him, I felt as if I was meeting his relatives. They were such wonderfully nice people there, and I felt like they took care of my Steve, that they watched out for him, and helped him with his 'homesickness'. Thank you all!
