Comfort Suites Newark, Newark

I had reservations about booking this hotel on reviews, but took my chances and was pleasantly surprised. Location is not scarey at all. It's not situation in the perfect setting, but we never felt uncomfortable or worried about security. Neat, clean lobby; large comfortable rooms and bed. Great breakfasts - the best on our whole trip. Close to the PATH station. We chose Harrison at 1 1/2 miles away. Central parking is right across the street from the station and is $7/day and train is $3.00 round trip. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great hotel and great prices too.

The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

This hotel was the worse experince I have ever had...I stay in hotels at least one week out of the 4 weeks of the month. Front desk service was slow and very difficult to understand, it took 15 minutes to get us cheked in even though we had reservations. My car got briken in, their camera aroud the building broke minutes before my car got robbed. Front desk would not call the manager, our room smelled like smoke, room service, knocks once and just comes in, which was the first time in my experience in hotels. And also the "security" I caught one once sleeping and the other one on the fone with a calling card in his hand...talking and talking....never in my life I would recommend this place!!!

I had an amazing experience in dealing with this hotel. I was stranded at Newark airport with the winter weather delays and the staff was amazingly helpful in getting me to and from the airport. The hotel is very well taken care of, the room was very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was nice as well. I highly recommend this hotel - the staff was amazing.

As we entered the area in Newark for our motel, we were somewhat apprehensive, as it appeared to be a run-down section of town, plus it was late, and we had taken a wrong turn off the Interstate. What a pleasant surprise when we entered the lobby; it was so neat and clean, and it was very well decorated. We were given our keys in a timely fashion, went to our room, and again, found a very nice room with a king and double bed, large bathroom, lots of luggage space, and plenty of towells. The continental breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip with waffles, sausage, cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit, milk, juice and great coffee! The staff was friendly and helpful and when we left, we wished we were staying a second night. There is so much to see in New York, and Penn Station is close enough that even the "rubes" from SC were able to manage. Thanks for a great stay, and "kudos" to Comfort Inn for a gem of a motel!
