Special Night

I loved the Westin. My husband and I stayed there on our wedding night before leaving for Florida the next day. The staff was wonderful and treated us like we were the only people staying there. The rooms are magnificent with gorgious views of Uptown Charlotte. The only complaint that I have is that we could hear a lot voices and people going through the halls late at night, but we were there on New Years Eve, so that's not really a surprise.

Oh that heavenly bed!

I had to choose one particularly Westin to write this review, so I chose the one I had been at most recently. But overall I just love that bed! I feel like I can truly relax there. Great job Westin for figuring out that the weary traveler just needs a great nights sleep!

Best place to stay downtown

By far the best hotel to stay downtown based on cleanliness, amenities, wait staff, and price. New hotel built a few years ago with a gorgeous lobby and LARGE rooms. Westin is known for their beds and these do not disappoint. LOVE their bathrooms - large, full of marble, great shower head, and it's always clean. Staff at the hotel are so friendly they exude southern hospitality -- i didn't travel with a pet, but for you dog-owners who can't part with Fifi and Fido, bring them with b/c this hotel accepts them. Great lounge/bar downstairs and just a really neat hip vibe that will appeal to travellers of all ages. It's a bit of a walk for business travellers who work for companies other than Wachovia, but it's worth the extra blocks of walking / cab fare. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND -- best deal and cheaper than the other hotels RIGHT downtown that have rooms that are sub-par and smaller.

Nice but rude staff

I have several friends in Charlotte, so when I come to visit I always have something fun to do, the hotel is very high class and nice to stay in, however, I've stayed 3 seperate times and the hotel staff are always rude. The bellhop that was helping us with our luggage was rude when i tipped him and politely asked if we could bring the luggage up to the room myself and explained for the reason that the colonge he was wearing was bothering my mother who was also with me. Also because the Ground Floor where the lobby is located is all open (the bar and resturaunt is not really seperate) the ciggarette smoke fills the lobby and when we tried to hang out in the lobby on the couches, it was very unpleasant and we ended up just hanging out in the hotel room when we would have rathered stay in the lobby having drinks.

Excellent choice

The hotel is in a great location, with access to highways, shopping and the football stadium. The service is very good, especially at the concierge desk (Kim was a tremendous help). The rooms are clean and large. Excellent health club!! The only negative would be room service. Although the delivery time was quick, the food was overpriced for the quality, which was average.

Great hotel. It was super clean and just elegant. The staff was helpful and the hotel is close to many of the places I was needing to go.

Just great all around! It was so clean and elegant. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to any of my friends who ask.

the best mattress anywhere....and so the best nite sleep also, the location is great for anything you care to do downtown...the resturant wasw wonderful...and the service was superb....

Worth It

A little more expensive than average night, but well worth the money. Lots of things to offer and great service from the staff. Very, very comfortable nights rest, and extremely nice rooms. Very well cleaned facility.

The staff at The Westin is great. The hotel also includes a great restaurant and bar with the best martinis around. Try the Turtle martini!

Beautiful

I felt the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff was very helpful. Loved the bar as well. The Ember restaurant was special to us since we want to name our daughter Ember.
