Will NEVER go back!

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. Our room had stains on the walls and the bed spread. We could hear everything in the hallway, people getting off elevator, etc. The management was very rude, and we were charged $75 dollars when we had to check out a day early to go home to a family emergency. If you stay here make sure you know they charge for everything from parking, to use the pool, for internet, and for leaving early. IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!

we saw the carolina tar heel men's basketball team!!

while we were at the westin for tremaine dance competition, the 2005 carolina men's basketball team was staying at the hotel. my father rode in the elevator with the coach, Roy Williams and 3 other players. It was a very exciting dance competition!!

Don't do internet

I enjoyed my stay - clean room, good service and very accessible. I didn't enjoy - sleeping next to the elevators and listening to them all night, paying $10 per night for internet and having download speed of 53kbps all evening, and paying $16 for parking. Was a good stay except for internet and noise. Will look elsewhere if I need to come back to this area. Other hotels in the area that would be worth checking out.

be prepared to be nickel and dimed

great location but for about $200/night they charge you for every little thing possible. $10 for internet here $20 for parking there, $5 to work out. That was ridiculous.

Wonderful.

I was thrilled to stay at the Westin after a miserable experience at The Blake. (Be sure to look up those reviews for a laugh.) Literally, on the five-minute drive there from The Blake, I was on the phone with Westin customer service, booking a room. By some miracle, they managed to get me a non-smoking, king room at a great price. We checked in without ANY problems to friendly staff, very efficient, and to our surprise, discovered we'd been placed on the top floor in a plush Starwood room. I loved the complimentary spring water and Starbucks coffee, and the beautiful decoration. It just felt so clean and crisp. The bathroom shower is AMAZING. We're seriously contemplating purchasing it from their store. Also ordered room service, which was prompt, friendly, and the food tasted decent. I'd always wanted to stay at the Westin because of its beautiful architectural design. I'm certainly happy I did. Please stay there!

Al La Carte

I went on a business trip with my husband, who was attending a seminar. I was looking forward to some free time but everything I wanted to do, ie: go to the pool, work-out, were all an additional charge! Even the cost of parking was outrageous. On a positive note the staff was friendly and helpful.

Excited to return!!

This is the best place to stay downtown Charlotte Center City. My husband and I have stayed at some of the other hotels in Center City and by far this exceeded our expectations. It is in a great location to many of the restaurants, churches, and any other place one would like to visit in Center City.

What an experience!

The hotel staff was friendly and courteous, especially the concierge and front desk. We were upgraded to a suite (probably because we're SPG members) and had an amazing city-facing corner room, all windows and a separate garden tub and shower. It was also very easy to get online, their wifi service in the public areas was FAST, the in room wired service was faster, and I understand they are going WIFI in all guest rooms in the next year. We'll be back!

SIFE Regionals

Great place to have college conventions and regionals like SIFE...this place was great in all points...the only problem we had was that eventhough that all Westins are non-smoking hotels, some1 still smoked in ours...but all we had to do was contact front desk and then no questions asked, they changed our room...
