Best hotel i've ever stayed in
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/03/08
The only disadvantage this hotel has is that it's about a half hour away from downtown. The room was spotless and the hotel always smelled great (it didnt have that funky hotel smell). The breakfast that was included with our room was a wonderful buffet with an omelet station and they also made us french toast and waffles upon request. The staff went out of their way to help us on at least 3 occasions during our 4 days there. Overall this hotel was awesome. The hotel was always clean, staff was very friendly, food was great, and they have their own Starbucks so that's a bonus. We had an excellent experience here and I would recommend it to anybody. Even if it was a little far from downtown it was well worth it.

A Gem of a Stay
By Victoria, 08/14/07
NO, it is not the Ritz and it is rare that I give a full 'thumbs up' rating, but this place deserved it. It was not in a great location for enjoying Chicago, but it certainly WAS the perfect place for a company conference. Great rooms, great service and nice atmosphere overall.

Beware of charges
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/23/07
The hotel is lovely and the rooms are great but BEWARE. This is truly hard to believe but true: you must pay to use the television! They don't tell you that but once you turn it on you can see that it has been privately programmed. If you want a current Blockbuster type movie that will cost you $15 and the cheapest movie to watch may be a documentary for about $6. But you only want to watch the news, right? Okay, that will be $3 a day. What a bargain! It is impossible to see normal TV in a normal way. Also if you don't want to watch TV and decide to just surf the web, well that will be $10 a day but of course includes unlimited long distance calling which you really don't need because you have a cell phone. The front desk is mediocre with an underlying malaise. The restaurant food is acceptable and personnel is exceptional but there is nowhere else to walk to for a choice. Oh, by the way, the front desk is not even aware of the TV and internet service charges! Hope this helps your decision making!

We went in this hotel two years ago. With two little kids the more important thing is find a clean place where stay and I can say "this is a really very clean hotel", words of mother!!!

its my last night here and im a little sad
By matt, 11/26/06
the bathroom was enormous and gorgeous, the people were friendly and the maid service was great! the first night here we took the shuttle from the airport and the guy driving it, offered us some suggestions for dinner after we asked him where the good places were. he told us about a few places and helped us get our luggage up to our room. when we asked him how to get a cab he told us that we didnt need to call one he would drive us for free to the restaurant, and left a hotel card with us, saying if he wasnt busy when we finished he would come get us. thats service. the room was impeccably clean every night when we got back from a day out touring in chicago. the subway is within walking distance, like less than 2 minutes, from the entrance to the hotel. the subway ride into downtown chicago, right to the loop, is about a half hour, so bring something to do on the train. we bought 3 day passes for 12 dollars each and they really paid for themselves several times over, but that doesnt have to do with the hotel. right off hand i would say the only downsides i can think of are that the hotel is half an hour from downtown, and that the wireless internet is only free for one day. its 9.95 per day after that but included in that package are any local or nationwide long distance calls you make from the room. but the upside to those two things are that there are no loud city noises here to keep you up, and youre less likely to run into bandwidth hogs at 9.95 a day. overall i would definately stay here again(theres even a starbucks in the lobby) and recommend it to anyone who is a light sleeper or trying to save money. enjoy!

Magnificent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/05
You couldn't miss home here. After leaving I actually miss the hotel. The hotel is incredible, there are fish in different shaped glass bowls when you pass the concierge toward the elevators. The hotel room was nice, what was to die for was the bed!! The shower was a new found glory..I love the shower head you can hold..and this was the stainless steel edition, granite/marble floors, glass walk in shower!! Loved it. Impecible service as a platinum member with marriot they will cash personal checks for you and that came in handy on the way to the magnificent mile.

Great Showers!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/28/05
Loved the room. Everything was clean and the bathroom and shower were to die for. They had granite floors and tile and the shower was a huge glass walk-in. We had problems with the hotels charging the credit card three times.

Great Airport Property - Definitely Worth Staying At!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/17/05
The Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Hotel is presumably the nicest property in the vicinty of the Chicago O'Hare Airport. With shuttle service to/from the hotel every 15 minutes, guests aren't burdened with having to wait in line for a taxi. The guestroom are very spacious with wonderful beds including pillowtop and down comforters. The bathroom is very large with a beautiful glass shower. Families who are stuck due to a cancalled flight will find plenty to do including spending time at the large indoor pool facility.

Perfect Hotel
By Scott, 05/16/05
What a super hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and the hotel was very very clean. The room itself was very comfortable, the bed was the most comfortale bed I have used at any hotel that I have stayed at. I will definately stay here again.
