Residence Inn by Marriott, Killeen

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had! After one night our first story room flooded because it rained that night. after "swimming" to the front desk I was told "oh yeah that room always floods when it rains" There was over $600 in damages to our things not including my husbands army gear, which he had to wear wet the next day because there wasn't time to dry it. It took them 6 hours to give us another room. so I had to wait in 2 inches of water and mildew until we could move, and we were not offered any assitance moving. I was told if I wanted to wash my clothes I would be reimberssed when the manager got there, I never was. We had absolutely no compensation for our damages, not even a discount on our rate. When I showed the manager my ruined school books I was even told that they were "still useable" even though the pages were stuck together. even after contacting their corprate office about my troubles I was blown off. The staff was generally unhelpful, rude, and flat out lied to us. I will never stay at this or anyother motel 6 again, and would advise everyone to do the same. You can't possibly save enough money to make up for how this hotel will treat you. and if you end up staying here make sure you get a second story room, all the first floor will flood at the slightest drizzle.
