Never Wanted To Leave !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/09
When First Flying Over Tunisia Ready To Land I Dreaded My Holiday And Wondered What The Hell I Had Paid for.. Looking Out Over Fields Of Trees And Hardly Any Buildings.. But Once Landing And Arriving At Hotel El Kabir My Whole Opinion Changed. The Staff Are So Friendly And As An 18 Year Old Girl The Most Enjoyable Part Of The Holiday Was Being By The Pool Or On The Beach With The Animation Team. The Animation Team Are A Group Of Very Friendly, Entertaining Group Of Lads, Good Looking Lads I Must Say. They Make The Hotel What It Is. Not Only Were The Animation Team The Best Part Of The Hotel But The Entire Hotel Staff. They Would Go Out Of Their Way To Keep You Happy And Always Had Smiles On Their Faces Which Made It An Amazing Experience. There Were A Few Gift Shops Across The Road But To Get To Any Decent Shops You Would Have To Get A Taxi, Taxi's Werent Expensive Either. Overall This Is One Of The Best Holidays Ive Been On And Certainly Cannot Wait To Go Back Next Year. I Would Definitely Reccomend This Hotel!

great holiday
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/25/07
*lots of fantastic food to choose from. one thing's for cerain: you'll never go hungry there! *animation team were very friendly. some of the shows they performed were slightly ameteurish but they were very enthusiastic and put a lot of effort into their shows *very hot weather, when i stayed there the temperatures were 35-45 degrees (24th july to the 3rd august). i only saw 2 clouds in the sky during my 10 night stay! *the pool and sea temperatures great to swim in at 30 degrees *fantastic holiday overall, i spent most of my time relaxing on the beach achieving a tan! i went on a few excursions - a combined day trip to a zoo and boat trip was my favourite. the zoo was great - it was lovely to see some elephants playing together in the water, and sprinkling themselves with dry mud to keep cool! 10/10

I want to go back:(
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/3/06
Well I am 15 years old and I absolutely loved El Kebir. I stayed there from 2nd-17th August. I made so many friends..Not just English! There was a lot of french there..mainly 18 year old boys so I was happy. The food was amazing..they had theme nights which was good because it meant that there was food for every country. It's a really good holiday for teenagers which is why i loved it so much. there is an absolutely stunning beach right at the end of the hotel which has lots of jet ski's and things to do which are also brilliant (bit scary though!). The animation team was excellent always encouraging you to do things..I especially liked Dario and Haino. The outdoor pool was great..could be a bit cold. I only have one small complaint and that was the bar manager limiting our drinks although we were all enclusive and also a karaoke at the hotel once a week or something would have gone down brilliantly although the entertainment was good already. In particular I have to mention the maid's..the special things they did with our room every day was so lovely..like making a heart out of our towels and rose petals (which we made sure we took a picture of every day) which showed how much effort they wanted to put on to make our holiday special. So thankyou so much for making this such a great holiday for me..I've been home two weeks now and I still want to go back..

We keep going back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/26/06
Between our group that travels, we have been back to this hotel about 8 times in the past 3 years. You are made to feel so welcome and relaxed from the moment that you step through the sliding doors. The food is excellent and the all of the staff are so friendly! It is truly one of the best holidays we have ever had - we can't keep away!

I never wanted to leave i loved it there and would go back but longer this time. The staff was great ( the bar men, the cleaners, the respetion and the entertainment team)Met some great people and even fell in love with Dido. The welcome was great and the swimming pool was fab.Want to go back and you sould go as well! The only bad thing was that you had to pay for bottled water (2 dinars) ,its not very good for when hot and have little chrildren with you a part from that its been one og the best hoildays ever!

one of my best vacations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/28/05
I've been two weeks to riu park el kebir in august. We arrived at the hotel around 2 o'clock in the night. They had food and drinks for us if we wanted and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was very clean and the beach and swimmingpool were also very clean. The food was very good, and there was enough choice. The staff was very friendly and helpfull and they were always smiling. During the day and evening there were a lot of things to do, the animation team was very nice. During the day there were things to do like volleyball, football, jeux de bouls and a lot of other things. And every evening there was a show, and after the show there was a disco. For younger kids there was a miniclub, the animation and staff were also very friendly to the kids. One day there was something broken, but they fixed it within an hour. The hotel is located at the beach and if you want to go to the centre you can take a taxi for only 2 dinars, and it takes about ten minutes with a taxi to get in the centre. If you want a very nice holiday, el kebir is the place where you have to go!

I will definatelty return
By Jeanette, 7/17/05
This is an attractive Hotel, well presented and extremely clean. The staff are both attentive and welcoming, always with a smile for you. The 'animation' team are gifted dancers, enthusiastic in their approach to the day time entertainment offered, and particularly attentive to the children. The beach was directly in front of the Hotel, providing an excellent and quieter retreat to read and obviously enjoy the sun. The restaurant catered for guests in two sittings, and was buffet service. If the idea of buffet service puts you off..don't let it!! All foods are organically farmed, (Tunisia has no imported goods) the variety and choice is truly amazing. All the hot food is cooked frequently at the 'cooking islands' and caters well for the international guests. As a solo female traveller I hadn't intended on venturing beyond the Hotel, the whole idea of my stay was to relax and do absoloutely nothing. However I did take in Carthage, Sidi Bou Said and The Bardot Museum on an excursion which I enjoyed. I took a taxi a couple of times alone to the museum in Hammemet and the Medina. I was sensible in my dress, avoided the souks, and with a smattering of french it was OK. 'Latinos' disco in Jasmine Hammamet was definatley worth a visit a few times. The location of the Hotel, being a walk from the centre of Hammamet, was not a problem for me as it was placed directly on the beach. Across from the hotel a few shops were available.

Our fantastic holiday
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/04
My family and i went to El Kebir back in September and had a fantastic time, my daughter cried when we had to leave! We arrived there at 2.00am which was very late but then are flight had been delayed. The hotel manager was waiting for us and made us feel so welcome and had a drink and food waiting for us. We spent alot of 2 weeks just lazing by the pool and on the golden, sandy, beach, which was very clean. We were very impressed with the staff who went out of their way to help you and cater for your every need. The animation team were great and encouraged you to participate in the many activities in and around the pool,in particular was Ali,who my daughtered adored and so did many of the children. I particular enjoyed the food and there was always plenty of choice and it all looked and tasted fresh! We went on a number of tours, but the Sahara Explorer was the best, riding on a camel in the Sahara at sunset was magical.Although this trip is not for the faint hearted as it is very tiring. We sailed on a catamaran and saw dolphins and was awe struck at the lunar landscape of Matmata. There was so much more!! We enjoyed this country and the hotel so much we booked up to go back in June!!

Excellent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/04
I've visited this hotel in Tunisia for two years now, and it far exceeds many other hotel companies. Excellent service, great entertainment, friendly staff and a welcoming manager.
