Hotel Quinta do Sol - A Good Choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/16/05
We recently stayed at this hotel for 12 days. The rooms are exceptionally clean, the staff very friendly, and the complementary breakfast is very good. The hotel is about 1.5 - 2 kilometers from the center of town and if one prefers, a leasure walk to town along the beach front is a pleasant experience. We paid about R$80.00 a day in March-April, but in high season this jumps to R$169-R$200 or higher, depending on the type of room you choose. The beach in front of the hotel is not the best, but walking only 5-10 minutes north will certainly provide you with a much better scenario. There are only two negative remarks I could possibly make about this hotel. 1) the food at the restaurant is simply awful and they be well adviced to get a new chef. I can't imagine anyone eating there again once they try it. 2) their billiard tables are really in bad shape, not only physically, but also in their design. It almost appears as if they got a great deal on irregular models. Notwithstanding, this is a place I would stay again, as long as it is not in high season since the price becomes too expensive for what you get.
