Management Compromises Safety and Integrity
By ,
The Fairfield Inn, Courtyard and SpringsHill Suites are three hotels in Marriott Village at Lake Buena Vista. These hotels appear to operate under common management. The hotel room in the Fairfield Inn had a number of safety issues and was not ADA compliant. I sustained bruising of my chest and a laceration on my face after hitting the edge of an outward opening bathroom door that was left ajar. The incident occurred while I was trying to make my way to the door of the hotel room as the ADA buzzer was ringing without the required ADA visual alarm in the hallway. The hallway was dark and there was no light switch to turn on along my path. Hotel management said they would provide an adjustment to the room charge because of the incident but failed to come through on their word. Marriott Claims Services indicated they would pay my medical bills but subsequently changed their mind. It appears Marriott compromises safety and their integrity to maximize profits.

Would not go back or recommend
By ,
On the surface the room appeared clean but .... After turning the cover back found dried blood stains on the comforter !!! .... felt Big wet spots (?) in the carpet all over the room. The overhead fan did not look like it had ever been dusted. The concierge service sold us the incorrect Disney pass (a day pass for 1 park, instead of a hopper pass as requested) and gave inaccurate info for moving between parks. We had to stand in lines at the second park to upgrade the ticket ~ just what we had hope to avoid by purchasing the tickets at the hotel. Overall a very ho-hum hotel (especially for a Marriott) and terrible service/cleanliness. Would never go back, and would definatly NOT recommend. A negative rating is all this place deserves.

The Best, can't wait to go back
By ,
I went with my partner and 2 children for 21 nights, at check-in we asked about up-grading to a family suite, the lady at reception advied us no problem we could upgarde for FREE. Free safes in lobby which is a must for passports etc. A great big room 2 TVs clean, massive bed for us (could have slept 3 easy), kids area single bunk bed at top with a ladder going up, underneath a double bed. Great, my kids were so happy. Intenet access a must for teenagers. Breakfast is free- toast, bagels, waffles cereal, fruit and yogarts etc great if you want a quick bite and want to get going. Pools 3 all clean and lots of loungers free towels to use. They have pizza hut, chicken, hot dogs, chips, salads, subs, drinks and sweets all on site and can be delivered to your room. Golden coral 2mins walk away but get there early as always packed, but well worth it. Premium outlets a short drive at back of hotel, very busy and you would need a day to get around all the shops. Disney 5 mins away. Universal and Sea World 15 mins away. This was our 3rd trip and this was the best location so far, after staying on I-Drive (too busy) and Kissimmee ok. Lots of supermarkets and places to eat nearby and of course Walmart. Security on front gate, really great place to stay, I would book again and recommend to all.

My favorite Hotel in area
By ,
I like this Hotel because is close to the parks, always clean, staff helpful and friendly. Rooms with Microwave, mini-fridge, good for a family with baby or toddlers and picky eaters. Bathroom good conditions and clean. Big pool and spa. Breakfast is good, waffles, oatmeal, juice, coffe, water, tea, chocolate, donuts, cereals, yougurt, breads, bagels, milk, fruits, etc. Pizza Hut, starbucks in site, area for the kids to play, air hockey, billards, etc. You can walk and in the back of the hotel, cross parking area is a Golden Corral and other restaurants.

Great Location
We stayed here in July of 2007 for 8 nights, for our honeymoon. This is a great location if you plan on visiting Disney just minutes from the parks. The rooms are nice, nothing fancy, but nice. we didnt spend much time at the hotel, why spend a bunch money. I would recommend renting a car becasue there is not a shuttle worth taking. Free Breakfest was a huge plus.

Good times
By ,
I love the marriott village. it is close to everything and the rate was very reasonable. There are several amenities on the property like Pizza Ice Cream Arcades and shopping. So if you need to go out you do not need to go all the way out!

Clean and tidy, poor location
By ,
This hotel was modern, had large comfortable rooms and good amenities such as a guest laundry. The heated pool and surrounding area is quite nice, too. A buffet breakfast is included which was a good bonus. There were problems, however: The toilet seat in the bathroom in our room was dirty upon our arrival (this was corrected by cleaners immediately upon notification). Newspapers weren't delivered to our room 3 out of 6 mornings, despite advising the front desk the first time the newspaper was missing. Local knowledge and English fluency of front desk staff could be better. The location of the hotel wasn't real good, unless you're going to Disney (which they provide free transport to). Shuttles from the hotel to theme parks such as Universal cost $16 per person round trip which can be expensive if you're doing a few of the theme parks here. You're better off staying in downtown Orlando if you want to go to those theme parks. Overall, not a bad place to stay, but the location of the hotel may be a problem if you don't have your own transport.
